  1. Having bought a Pedretti 410. The other week had it out a bit and the range is limited bought for the crows but its like the crows are sticking to feathers up saying missed. I love the gun as I its light weight compact but not to happy with the shot patten or range I so thinking of part ex it for the hushpower 20g got a lot more range and knock down power than the 410. + next year the farmer said to me he ether planting wheat,barley maize were I shoot on hoping it will be better for the pigeons and there is a lot of crow activy in the area I only thing is the cost of the 20g of the shells . I do have a 12 g but like the Idear of quietness
  2. This I is an nasty one Firethorn - Pyracantha 'Orange Glow' - Flowers white in June, with bright orange-red berries. Thorny stem. beening a gardener this is not my best shrub I like cutting I remember an old lady telling me about soap bandage as kids we used to go exploring around fields I grabbed a branch a felt a sharp pain in my thumb still to day at 41 I can still feel a small lump in my thumb joint

This happened to me when I was 16 I worked on a clay shoot on the Wirral Sundays after noon then would come up and walk the gun dogs + take a gun with me on the land were the clay shoot was then the same year they reared up pheasant chicks to put down on a shoot in north wales which I helped out on no pay got some ferreting and pigeon shooting in return and beating we're the chicks went down later on beaters shoot and more ferreting 2 year later I gave it up 😫 Now I have make licence back I got to start again 25 years later but beating and helping out shoot managers, keeper , farmer will gain you shoot land to go on it work for me

I used to have ferreting land 24 years a go I gained by working for a small clay shoot the owner reared up pheasant chicks which went up to a large shoot I helped out on for free learning as a return for the help I got ferreting and the odd beaters day shoot and pigeon shoot in north wales a few years latter I give up needed a job I think if I had dated there my of been a keeper by now

  6. Thank for the info tried it on the clays this afternoon I could not hit any thing with the 410. but 12 g greener dusting them I think I will keep it for walking up the fields got odd bunny and pigeons for my lad to practice with

  8. I just got the Pedretti 410 love the weight of it and feel bought it for the crows but I am starting to think maybe I should of got the 20 g. Bought 2.1/2 " and 3 " mags number 6 fibre wads tried a pattern test today on a card board box at 18 yards pattern was ok still not great then at 25 yard pattern was well spread out with gaps in and at 35yard the shot was in bin lid size with gaps all over the place 😁 was not impressed what's the best shells for this gun .? I have been told not to use plastic wads as they can got stuck in the barrel ?

I have just invested in a Pedretti Hushpower 410. 3" chamber for use on a evening crow, pigeon flight line as when I use the 12 g the crows have wisen up and are moving now passed the of my shoot boundary line has any only used this on the crows and jackdaws I could of had the 20g was not sure Plus my son wants to learn to shoot he is 12 tried to give him a go on the clays with 24g loads 12g I he is not sure with the kick my be a 410 my be better ?

Hello beening a left handed shooter I am after a 12g 3" chamber steel /lead shot all round gun I have received my licence last week after a 18 year lay off the shooting world I used to be the dee wildfowler ducks/geese this time round I am looking to get some lessons to brush up on shooting I do have my old gp greener 12g single my dad bought for me when I was 15 along time ago a mate been looking after That whitch i have back. Now I know that the greener is a little short in the stock a longer stock would be better . My budget a round £600 mark being a leftie can cost more any vise would be grateful thanks
  11. Home brew man myself I brew the coopers and extract kits and you get a good pint but you have to let it condition for 2 month plus no hang over like pub beers and cans cheaper than buying ale in but on the whiskey talk I Savour Glenmorangie at Xmas time and if the cold and flu or around
