  2. Sorry to say, like most on here I dont like it at all. But if you do then enjoy.
  3. I visited Islay last September an can honestly say the peaty whisky will always be up there for me. But i do like other types Highland Park 12yo Glendronach 18 yo Old Pulteney 21yo Arran 14 yo and to my surprise a Invergordon grain whisky To name but a few
  4. Blantons is another good one but its not cheap

    Whiskey

Why not see if there is a Whisky Club in your area. Get to taste a wider range for your money. And its fun. I know ours is, just Stoke on Trent is a bit far for you to travel every month.
  6. It Port Ellen was best whisky. I only get to taste these on tasting sessions at local whisky shop, charge anything from £5 to £40 an open a bottle at the end from £125 to £1000, depending on ticket price, otherwise no way would i get to taste anything in that price range.
  7. Spot on piebob. Once had a taste of 30 yo Caol Ila but didnt taste as nice as a 17yo Caol Ila i tried a week before and there was a £250 price difference
  8. This we tasted and as title says best ive had. But out of my budget to buy one. Brought a bottle of Octomore 6.1 peaty as hell but another good. Top end of my budget at £125
  9. Sorry to say i've had a call this morning and the dog is no longer available. They have decided to keepher, feel gutted even though i aint seen her. Oh well anyone one a good cocker breeder near Staffordshire/Cheshire border
  10. I purchased this beauty , just opened it and had my first glass. Stunning.
  11. Not negative. Need to think with head and heart. At moment only thinking with heart. So thanks for the input, will let ya all know monday what i decide. And thanks again to ALL for advice
  12. Not seen her yet,,going Monday. Know her owner well, shot with him many times, he has a young dog of his own that he's training, the cocker originaly belonged to his son, and he has obviously spent time on his own dog.
  13. Been offered a cocker bitch 26 months old. Done some basic training but not even been shot over let alone retrieved game, hoping to get her to be a decent game dog as well as a companion. Any advice or suggestions would be great, not trained a gun dog before, so i know it will be uphill battle, but will I be biting of more than i can chew. Thanks in advance for any advice
