  1. I save special ones for occasions such as birthdays , births, am saving a bottle of Laphroiag for my next granchild. Whenever that is. But as others have said dont leave it on a shelf forever.Enjoy it

  3. I visited Islay last September an can honestly say the peaty whisky will always be up there for me. But i do like other types Highland Park 12yo Glendronach 18 yo Old Pulteney 21yo Arran 14 yo and to my surprise a Invergordon grain whisky To name but a few

    Why not see if there is a Whisky Club in your area. Get to taste a wider range for your money. And its fun. I know ours is, just Stoke on Trent is a bit far for you to travel every month.
  6. It Port Ellen was best whisky. I only get to taste these on tasting sessions at local whisky shop, charge anything from £5 to £40 an open a bottle at the end from £125 to £1000, depending on ticket price, otherwise no way would i get to taste anything in that price range.
  7. Spot on piebob. Once had a taste of 30 yo Caol Ila but didnt taste as nice as a 17yo Caol Ila i tried a week before and there was a £250 price difference
  8. This we tasted and as title says best ive had. But out of my budget to buy one. Brought a bottle of Octomore 6.1 peaty as hell but another good. Top end of my budget at £125
  9. Sorry to say i've had a call this morning and the dog is no longer available. They have decided to keepher,feel gutted even though i aint seen her. Oh well anyone one a good cocker breeder near Staffordshire/Cheshire border

  12. Not seen her yet,,going Monday. Know her owner well,shot with him many times, he has a young dog of his own that he's training, the cocker originaly belonged to his son, and he has obviously spent time on his own dog.
  13. Been offered a cocker bitch 26 months old. Done some basic training but not even been shot over let alone retrieved game, hoping to get her to be a decent game dog as well as a companion. Any advice or suggestions would be great, not trained a gun dog before, so i know it will be uphill battle, but will I be biting of more than i can chew. Thanks in advance for any advice
