  1. I have a box of Gamebore super steels,32g 5's okay for duck but are they strong enough for the geese?
  2. Gun is steel proofed and ah I'll look in to buying different cases then! Thanks
  3. I'm currently looking for an old lady series 2/3 or a 90 or early defender,if any of you chaps know anyone with one for sale could you pm me? And are the rumours about the prices dropping in the new year really true?personally can't see it happening! Josh
  4. What cartridges would you all reccomend me to shoot out of my 3" Chambered 12 Gauge. Main quarry is obviously geese but id like something which isnt to heavy for ducks at the same time as being sufficent enough for geese. Thanks Josh
  5. mines .22 and shoots extremely well with Webley Accupells
  6. I have one myself! had it a year now but not used it a lot! When I have used it I found it was pellet on pellet 9/10 times! Brilliant gun! Great value for money! Atb Josh
  7. Sub 12ft or is it Fac rated? Looks like some good shooting!
  8. Land was passed for. 22 and I believe it has been passed for. 223 for a group of blokes shooting foxes
  9. Hi Would there be problem with applying for. Variation for a 17 Hmr when I already have a 22lr? Would the land for the 22 have to be checked again and would the farmer have to sign the forms again? Thanks Josh
  10. Thanks for everyone's advice once again! And so even though my air gun is quite the dog will understand what's happening when I raise the gin to my shoulder, and therefore should be obedient before hand? This next few months will just be having fun with the dog and bonding, but keeping discipline like it was mentioned earlier. Thanks Josh
  11. Thanks for everyone's help! So this conditioning for example is stopping the pup whining and jumping up whilst the family is eating? Which could result if not stopped now in the pup once it is older thinking it is acceptable? Thanks for your advice,at the minute the most I do is the sit command and take it out with me when I go with my air rifle, which is just a walk for the dog as it is insanely quiet! Thanks for everyone's responses Josh
  12. Okay thanks that might be the problem! When is long enough to get her used to the sound of a shotgun? Are her ears not fully developed yet? Thanks for your advice
  13. Hi everyone. I bought a new lab about a month ago and it is now 13 weeks old. It responds to its name, comes almost every time and sits every time Working on the stay command at the minute but isn't coming along to productively! What would you guys advise as a "list " of commands for a gun dog. And after reading up for hours I'm drill non the wiser as whether to use a whistle aswl or not to bother. Thanks Josh.
  14. Breaking a 1998 land rover freelander in green. All parts available. Please contact 07743904739. 2.0 turbo diesel
  15. Really? Ah well 400 as a guideline price, can be twisted if needed
  16. Hi. For sale I have an s reg land rover freelander. I'll put it straight, there is a bit of cosmetic damage to the car on the outside (scratches) and the inside is very very rough. Previous owner has some very "playful" dogs. Mechanically the car is sound although the brakes aren't performing to the full potentiol. My looks is they need freeing off which I will be doing next week sometime. 2.0 turbo diesel, (reason for sale) all offers will be considered but will swap for half decent mechanically sound quad, would be a good shooting vehicle as it is cheap, 4x4 and the wife will never want to climb in it! Pm for more details and pictures. Or email joshhcup@gmail.com Josh
  17. Good idea Team tractor only downfall is we use it,you see my dad uses the one left to him and id use the T bolt Thanks anyway
  18. I was thinking about it,but then i just thourght hey ho, they do give more consistent shots i.e for example (this is totally made up for an example) if you have ten shots with 100 bar fill on the tenth shot it will be down on power, regulators mean that if you did it again with a regulator all shots would be full power shots. That is the only benefit i can think of. Josh
  19. Thanks! its just when we had the .410 pistol put on we had a hell of a job retaining it as apparently sentimentality isnt a reason, had to be put down for vermin work inside buildings!
  20. Hi,after reading your other post i get where your coming from,i have the same gun and the shot count for me isnt the best, with a regulator fitted you will get more consistent shots and shot counts. If your like me and also use rimmy's then i only use my hatsan in the day on pigeons and rabbits, where i only fire around 10 shots a trip, but if you have a perm full of rabbits and pigeons it may be a beneficial investment, either that or buy a dive bottle. p.s one extra thing is if you are disapointed with the shot count buy another air cylinder for the gun.,they are 80 quid from hatsan, simply charge them both up,leave one in your truck or in your bag for when you run out! But it has to be said i'd never shoot a pellet out of my barrel with under 75 bar just incase of it getting jammed! Josh
  21. Hi all! Well heres the situation, currently on FAC i have a slot for a .22 RF and a 22.FAC AIR. I have got some money and i am very interested in a browning T bolt. (First off if anyone has opinions/experiences with this gun then please feel free to PM me) But now the tricky bit,my late grandfather left the .22rf we have to us so it is more sentimental value than anything. I have never applied for a variation. So to keep the current .22 we have and get a t Bolt would i apply for L4L variation or jst standard different caliber (even though it is the same caliber)Would sentimentality be a reason to keep one .22 just to get another or would my FAO just tell me to get rid of one and forbid me to have another Josh
  22. Okay Cranfield! Wanted a reply asap that was all, sorry for any inconvenience
  23. Thanks for all your help,i only use the truck on my own for pigeon shooting or early morning rabbiting, any other time I used it is with dad ie going lamping ect. I could always twist his arm and get him to drop me and my gear off and then get him to pick me back up. Thanks for everyones advice! Josh
  24. Thanks. I used to have a quad and he had no problems but surely you could do the same amount of damage on a quad as a truck?well near abouts anyway Josh
  25. Its just a pain to be carrying all my gear for pigeon shooting about 2 miles all in all just to get to the field to walk back again to carry more gear!
