  1. Our local RFD has these for a decent price,28,71/2. to be used on cleys, any views?
  2. Evening all, I would like to fit a barrel mounted Bipod to my Crossman Rat Catcher, all the barrel mounts on these are 20mm which will not tighten on the small diameter barrel fitted to the gun. I wonder if anyone has suggestions as how to overcome? also can anyone advise diameter of barrel fitted to a standard gun? Thanks in advance.
  3. Evening all, I have recently purchased an E Rizzini O/U. I am having problems with the 2nd barrel firing, issues seem to be centred around the safety/selector mechanism. Firing 1st barrel no problem,2nd barrel trigger will not pull, change selector, trigger works just fine, this happens if either over or under is selected first. The firing pins seem absolutely fine with evidence of good & equal strikes on each spent cartridge The old girl must have had thousands of shells through it so I guess it must be down to wear, has anyone had similar experiences with these guns? It will be put into the hands of a gunsmith to sort,I would just like to get an understanding as to what's amis? On a more positive note the gun handles far better than expected given its low second hand purchase price,I am rather smitten with it. Thanks
  4. Thanks both, Gordon, presumably when the left & right screws are removed & stock bolt removed the stock will pull off?
  5. Morning all, Could anyone assist please? Just purchased a Rizzini E O/U, its got gloss a varnish finish on the woodwork,I would like to remove this & replace with an oiled finish. I need to remove the stock to complete, do I have to take of the (fake) side plates or will they be left in place? I presume there is a long stock bolt visible when the rubber but pad is removed? Thanks in advance.
  6. My Clay shooting mate uses a Webley & Scott Auto, keeps it clean, miss cycles maybe 1 in 200 on cheapest 28g 70mm we can buy, shoots flat & comes up well.
  7. Biaikal, £65 would get you a good clean example or if you want something Quintessentially English what about a Greener with the Martini action bags of fun, some good examples about" yer pays yer money yer takes yer pick".
  8. Correct I have a 1972 vintage, just like any other French product very quirkey! well made & very light. They make a good alternative to a 20 gauge, with 24 gramme carts they are ideal when giving a novice a go for the first time.I have used it for driven days & hide shooting but due to its light weight a bit lively in the shoulder with game loads. Mine is double triger, that can be of putting to some.Garlands are an agent for them but the price for new carries a premium.
  9. Have a go bud, whats the worst that can happen?.............. clean it all of and start again?, look on YouTube & decide on what product you feel comfortable using.
  10. Then my friend purchase with confidence, you will not be lying in a ditch with rain trickling down your back for two hours waiting for the golden shot. Most Ebay sellers value their hard earnt feedback rating and will be be more than willing to accept returns should the merchandice not be as described. The proof of the pudding will be in Feb 2016 after hopefully a dry warm enjoyable season.
  11. Any body still using a Verny Carron OU?
  12. Looks OK to Me Bud, you want it for Driven Shoot??, if you are just nocking about, her ex majestys finsest always fit the bill........... just imagine the cost of that gear if it had a ponsy label on it instead of the broad arrow.
  13. If the Browning is a keeper & you want to avoid shop prices have a go your self, if the barrels are true dull blue and not the shiny stuff cold blue them. I have had good results from Phillips gun blue. If as you say the stock only wants a tickle have go at that also, there are squillions of posts on the net on how to do a stock up, its all very subjective. There is no finer feeling than getting a result from the fruits of your own labour.
  14. Gents, I own an Escort Luxano purchased second hand, I would like to Know if its a Gen 1 or 2 gun. It has internal chokes & you have to hold the button in on the side to feed the magazine.
