Just in terms of competition shooting and I am thinking of CPSA shoots, I think you will find each competitor must have a gun you can't share. How strictly certain grounds enforce this I don't know. Personally if I was shooting a Sportrap or compak or any of the trap disciplines competitions, I really wouldn't want to be on a line with two people sharing a gun that is my personal opinion.

I don't celebrate new year, I was in bed by 10.30 pm and woken up at midnight when the neighbours two doors to the left of me and the neighbours two doors to the right of me both set off fireworks on a massive scale for small suburban back gardens for close to an hour. Thought I was in a war zone and I have actually been in a war zone! Don't celebrate birthday either really so you can have my birthday if you like Doc Holliday - 20th April

AGL is excellent, I also recommend them.
I don't really like A1 somehow; been there a couple of times and there were a few good targets, but their setup is clunky, and perhaps it's subjective, but I didn't like the crowd that much either...
Claudio and his family are lovely but really I always consider it a trap ground - Tony likes to get his trap "fix" every so often by going there. Sporting is secondary there and adequate I think for those starting out or those that just wish to have a round with friends with not too much challenge or stress. Buze you are used to grounds like Churchills where sporting is taken far more seriously and the challenges greater.

Thinking of going for a gun fitting
My question is do you get your measurements and then send gun and measurements to a gun smith or you have to buy new with measurements
Thanks
I went along with my gun and was measured using a try gun (looks like a terminator gun and can be altered to fit you), and then we took the measurements with my gun to our local gunsmith who then did what was required.

I like Southdown, I enjoy their registered ESP, sportrap and occasional Fitasc. It's great to be able to do two shoots on a Sunday at the same place and if time a third at Horne.

A lot of clays I hope. I'm off now until 3rd Jan so apart from a few days this week rushing around and Christmas Day, I'll be shooting every day.

My late father in law used to drink with Christie regularly at their local and no-one had a clue.

The character of Manuel was allegedly based on a waiter called Miguel, who worked at Dormy House Sunningdale . John Cleese did a number of corporate videos based there.
I had the pleasure of meeting Miguel, who was aware of the rumour and played up to it. Both very funny men.
He was a very dignified and humble person whom I also had the pleasure of meeting as I worked with his daughter for a good while. It was her daughter. That whole period was awful for them as a family but he he did his best to remain dignified throughout the whole thing and I think he did it very well. I shan't be letting that spoil my memory of Manuel.

I've had a few great jumpers from there, I've a lovely mix wool and cashmere shooting green jumper which I picked up for £20. I'm not into labels or shopping and I like bargains so if I know it would cost more elsewhere and it suits my purpose I'm happy.

They do sell lots of "names" at marked down prices but it's the kind of place where you get it when you see it because they may not have it again.

Taken from the CPSA website under classification section.
Temporary Classifications
If you have shot at a minimum of 300 registered targets in any given shooting discipline and you have not yet achieved a classification via the normal CPSA classification procedure you are entitled to a temporary classification certificate which is now automatically issued and will appear online and on the Shoot program. The temporary classification will come into effect immediately and then become redundant once the normal bi-annual CPSA classification procedure comes into effect.

I would be really interested to see the demographic of his voters. I think they were at both ends of the food chain and had very different reasons for voting for him. It appears some must have been extremely secretive about their vote, bit like feeling dirty about what you are doing . If he manages to deliver on what he has promised in his speech I will eat my hat. Neither candidate was worthy of holding that office but let them get on with it same as we need to get on with it.

We are all sick of Turkey so we are opting for Beef but no doubt all the trimmings associated with the Turkey will still be available.

To be honest La bala, when I first saw that pic' I thought it had been taken from the floor, looking up at someones crotch and an overhanging belly! Took me a while to realise what it was.
I thought it looked like. Home made version of a blow up doll but I didn't have my glasses on

I won a SA yesterday after a shoot off at the Rizzini Comp at Honesberie - a Huglu G12. I've never used one, Mr Hoskins says I can use it for pigeon shooting. At the moment it feels weird to me and heavy although it probably weighs the same as my O/U.

Sian
I have spoken to the website administrator, who was aware of access difficulties, especially when people use phones or tablets.
It is planned to change the website provider to improve access and make interaction with the site easier.
Regards
Martin
Thanks for the update.

Call me limp wristed if you will but 8lbs plus of clay gun feels alot more comfortable holding the barrels in the left hand and allowing the stock and action to drop that t'other way round. With the sxs it's not a problem as it's much lighter and doesn't need to break nearly as far.
I am like Glenlivet I don't think I could actually do it the other way around.

Where I live that would mean a visit by a heavily armed unit in short time. I don't think it was his best idea to display it on a front garden wall either for his own security arrangements or the neighbours' hearts. No good assuming he is safe and sensible because he might not be and in any event assuming is what gets people in trouble.

Right handed shooter loading and unloading with my left hand and wear my pouch on my left side.

Sian does use the word, "our" as in, "our indulgence" so perhaps she doesn't shoot them all herself.
That is correct the old man shoots as well although he unfortunately doesn't get as much as me.

I imagine in Sporting that wouldn't be a problem in fact Martin Myers and his mate changed his stock over to shoot in a major competition each time he shot because of a fault but in Sportrap and compak I don't think they would allow it never mind something like DTL or ABT etc.
