  1. The bleed screw on the rear of the pump was tight when I started pumping and I did turn it to bleed it before trying to remove the probe.
  2. As I keep saying I've never had a pcp air rifle before, only spring powered and co2 so when it came to pumping the air rifle I had a few problems which had nothing to do with the actual physical effort involved which really wasn't all that bad.... The first problem I had was when I inserted the probe into the fill hole on the air cylinder as I was pumping I could hear the air escaping but couldn't feel from where it was. Anyway, I twisted the probe into a few different positions with no change and could keep hearing the hissing of the air as none of it was going into the cylinder. I decided to remove the cylinder to try filling it again and for some unknown reason to me it filled without any problem. Does anyone know why this should be as if I can help it I don't want to be removing the air cylinder every time I fill it as it marks the air cylinder where it is rubbing against the barrel bands? I thought it was supposed to be as easy as putting the fill probe into the fill hole on the cylinder but obviously not or I am missing something somewhere and doing things wrong. Anyway, I pumped the cylinder to the 200 bar mark and then when I went to remove the probe from the fill hole it wouldn't budge, almost like it had formed a seal with the air. After much twisting and tugging it finally came out but in the process it had split and ruined one of the o rings. Thankfully it comes with a few spares! What is it I'm doing wrong and can anyone give me any help or advice as I think I need it!!
  3. I didn't clean it and it was spot on once I had it zeroed in.
  4. Just had my first go with my recent purchase and was thoroughly impressed. It has a lovely cocking action, a nice trigger and at 35yrds was extremely accurate!! This is a string of the very first 10 shots I took before zeroing in properly using .177 superdomes.
  5. Time waits for no man and all that ;-)
  6. Just out of interest Josh, is yours .22 or .177 and what pellets does it prefer?
  7. As titled I'm after a stirrup pump with hose for my new Hatsan AT44-10. It will need to obviously be in excellent working condition. Let me know what you've got and see if we can make a deal.
  8. Well if you've seen my other thread I've now got my first PCP so now saving to afford a pump and was wandering which to get. I'm not really interested in going down the dive bottle route as I'll be firing lots of pellets at targets as well as hopefully vermin and don't want the hassle or expense of filling a bottle regularly. I'm also over 6ft, built like the proverbial brick outhouse and do lots of intense physical training so the actual physical pumping part of the process I'm not concerned in the least about.
  9. Picked it up today and can't wait to give it a go...once I've done a bit more overtime to afford a pump for it! Ha ha When I was buying it the RFD said for the money it's a great gun and out of all the brands of PCP air rifles he's sold it's only the hatsans that have never come back with leak issues. He did show me that he'd filled it with air when it came in a month ago and it's still holding the same amount of air. Now who can recommend me a pump as I don't want to go down the dive cylinder route?
  10. That's pretty much answered every query I had. Will be picking it up tomorrow on my way back from the hospital :-)
  11. I'm wondering why that is though? Is it just because they're a Hatsan and made in Turkey? Is it because they want to sell something more expensive or because if it doesn't say Daystate or Air Arms etc then to them it has to be rubbish? Or is it because the AT44-10 is a bit pants?? I'm budgeting on £300 but don't want to spend that amount of money on something that turns out to be complete pants.
  12. I'm looking at getting a Hatsan AT44-10 in .177. It's brand new with the wood stock and priced in my budget (under £300). I'm completely new to PCP air rifles and as much as I'd love a Daystate or Air Arms they just aren't realistically within my budget. I was wondering what people's views are on here on the Hatsan AT44-10, especially from those that have had a go with one or own one and if there's much to choose between getting it in .177 or .22? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
  13. If it's up for grabs I wouldn't say no.
  14. I'm 36 but feel and look amazing...well that's what I keep telling myself.
  15. Thanks for the offer but looks like I've got myself a good deal on one today.
  16. I'm looking at buying a second hand Air Arms TX200 .177. What would be a fair price to pay for one of these in excellent condition?
  17. Anyone else watching this 3 part ghost story starring Michael Palin that continues tonight? I only just got around to watching the first episode last night with the Mrs and thoroughly enjoyed the eerie goings-on. I like a good eerie ghost story and the fact that the Mrs is scared of her own shadow is only adding to my viewing pleasure
  18. Very nice Irezumi style ink!
  19. After weeks and weeks of waiting the TAD V 4.0 Jacket I ordered finally arrived today. The reason I'm selling it is that it took so long to arrive that I thought it had got lost in the post and so ordered another one!! It's green in colour, brand new with the tags still attached. It says that it is a size XXL on the label but it is a UK size XL. I'm wanting £30.00 posted for it no offers please. Can accept bank transfer or Paypal. If paying by Paypal buyer pays the 4% fees. If it doesn't sell here it will go on evilbay. If anyone buys it tonight I'll have it in the post tomorrow morning as I'm off work.
  20. I was just wondering what people's experiences have been buying from this site. At the beginning of October I ordered one of those TAD v 4.0 jackets from a seller on there and there's still no signs of it at my end. I've bought things from all over the world for many years on the internet and have never had anything take this long to arrive. The seller has told me that it can take up to 60 days for shipping from China to the UK even though on the page for the item it says delivery within 28 days. Can anyone recommend me a reliable seller to on aliexpress.com to buy one of these coats from? Cheers folks!
