Hey guys 6wks into my boys training, and have been to see his progress . I was very happy with what I have seen. My biggest concern was if he remembered me?,,he did (-: I was particaly impresses with the amount of focus my dog was showing Tom (trainer) He wouldn't take his eyes of him . Here's Just a short clip Thanks Paul

no don't think we will find it like riding a bike , I was just quoting what he said about his dogs. im sure ill be back here in a few months asking advice but thanks for input, it is appreciated

Hi Bazooka Don't think the training ever really stops, I will get handlers training at the end and have been advised to carry on with three or four sessions a week. im not expecting to get him back and think that's it job done. however he did say his older dogs get the whole of shooting closed season off, and its like riding a bike for them, they don't forget, but then he is a pro. ill still read the books and watch the dvd's and im sure at some point I may need a lesson in the future if I come across a problem? I would be interested to hear off others who have opted for residential training, and how things were for them after. Paul

Nice looking dog that land scape looks familiar? is that the Mawddach estuary opposite Barmouth?
-
Thanks Steve,, looking forward to it I presumed he meant going to placed dummies and directed him to them? I speak to him again on Monday so ill try and clarify that one. thanks
-
thanks you can say that again, it cant come quick enough
-
He will have been gone 3 wks tomorrow.,, only 9 wks to go feedback from trainer ,, he is walking to heal on and off the lead. doing multiple retrieves to hand, I presume multiple retrieves means he is being directed to placed dummies and has just started on a bit of hunting. he also acts a clown occasionally but at nearly 10mnths old it's to be expected, I act a clown occasionally and im 40 + cant wait for my visit in 3 wks here he is picture sent by trainer today.

I'm not a million miles from were you spotted your bird. I was sat in my back garden last year, a lovely day, when I spotted something in the sky, I thought it was a Buzzard at 1st glance but when I got my binoculars out on closer inspection their were two red kites circling the sky's above.. this amazed me because of the area I live, most defiantly urban although only a couple of miles from rural country side. mind you after letting it sink in for a while, I the thought of the story I was reading about peregrine falcons nesting in the spire of Coventry cathedral plenty of food feral pigeons in the city centre http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCwQtwIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DB10HcjePyjg&ei=NeVpU6OOIKX40gWbkIGgCg&usg=AFQjCNELlF51mjjk4XTBtNB_01yPoVXfsg
