kitts are nearly 5 weeks old now , there eyes are just opening and there all weaning well on rabbit , mince beef and lactol milk and dried food porridge yummy.
i shall be looking for new homes for a few of them at around 8-10 weeks old .
they are all polecats , and are being handled at least 3 times a day by me and my 10yr old daughter .
Although the jill was a rescue i have found out that she was/is an excellent worker and was put to a very good hob .
i,m hoping to keep 2 jills and a hob , plus the mum for myself , the others will need rehoming ..
if anyones interested please let me know .
cheers

good cheap springer , i,ve had the cometa 300 and the 400 .
i like the 400s best , nice weight , nice and short , and a pretty good silencer
i think in FAC the .22 is around 18 - 19 ftlb
cheers

the others will have to , got a few homes lined up , people are wanting jills , but not sexed any of them yet .
there 3 weeks old today eyes still closed , i,ve been told not to handle them for another week , the jill still seems very nippy ( she was brill when first got her ) hope she,ll calm down .
not sure when i should handle them
or
when i should move them into there new quarters ( the converted shed )
any advice .

ferret boy 111
what do you mean people like me , i think you,ve got the wrong end of the stick .
right to put you straight , i did not breed the jill . i rescued her from the stables she was hungry and covered in ticks .
the RSPCA would not take her etc , etc , .
i took her home and phoned Carl from the Radcliffe ferret rescue , he came to my house de-ticked her , sprayed her , and talked me into keeping her .
at that time shes was in season ( vulva swollen ) , 2 days later she was out of season , i mentioned this to the ferret rescue , and came to the conclusion that she had come out of season because i had kept her in her temporay cage in the garage ( less daylight ) .
any way 2 weeks later she had 14 kitts .
i phone carl at the ferret rescue whooops was his reply , no ones fault , tried to find its owner , but no takers , so i became the ferret rescue ,
£100 on a cage
transport box £15
several bags of JWB
shavings
paper
hay
chicken
mince
rabbit ( free )
lactol milk .
and thats just for her , the weaning starts soon , i,m even coverting a spare shed to house them
and thats the story so far .

for gun on its own , i would say £300 max s/h .
