i bought a new spring from chambers cost £7.90 plus post .

i fitted it relube it , it now shoots as good as any good springer , its doing 12ftlb with h&n ftt pellets, spot on.

i cant fault this gun , its got lovely wood , nice trigger , short and light and will group i hole at 40yards , and is cheaper than all the rest .

i have relubed it mind and it shoots very sweet , with a nice thud.

    i think it cost £189-ish

  5. first blood to the fenix last night

took my cheap spanish carbine down to the stables last night , had a mooch around when every one had left and managed to bag 2 lovely buns at around 20 and 35 yds .

well pleased , overall , nice gun for the money , handles nice , short , just a bit of twang that needs sorting out .

compared to the lightning i first bought its way ahead .

  7. with springers mate you got to have a really consistant hold , or they,ll shoot different every time you pick it up .

as said try stock screws , mounts etc and start off close range say 10 yards and work your way out using good qual medium weight pellets ( H&N or superdomes around 14.5 gr ).

if it aint gonna group at 10 yards it aint gonna group.

    just an opinion .

    cheers
