lol, i fort u were gonna say the air rifle wasnt loaded i was out hunting one time on an abandoned railway line and the biggest rabbit i had ever seen poped out in front of me and frose, this pure fact that the rabbit was standing about 10ft away shocked me and with that i quickly took aim and BANG!!!! ALL SMOKE NO KILL :*) i didnt load the dam gun as i had only just gotten out of the car and bam there was 'BIG DADDY' sitting there.. anyways i think the morral of that story is always load ur gun

Yeh, I also find that powerpells are better I’ve herd that acupell are supposed to be better but I disagree. Powerpell have always done me proud

dam rabbits, i have figured that hittin them in the head kills em but it sure dont stop em movin. To be sure you are rewarded with a nice big rabbit never shoot it close to any holes cause it will just pop on down there and never come back P.S. wat do u guys think of the acupell .22 pellets?

I have used these scopes many times before and found that they are up to withstanding all kinds of knocks and bumps!! P.S. the good thing is if they break due to the guns power, simply take the scope into a gun shop and they will usually be more than happy to replace it for free due to fault of the scope. Final verdict: sturdy scope for the price you pay

Hi yall, I go out hunting quite allot, but every now and then when the rabbit has been hit in the head or above the neck area with my .22 bsa lightning it jus goes nuts and runs everywhere. This is quite disturbing as it knocks my confidence as a shooter and a clean killer. Any advice on what I am doing wrong would be great Cheers!!

this is an outrage, i mean only the sensible members of society carry guns in secure bags and out in public any way. Most of the time this is for repair or the trip to the local gun club. I feel that anyone with un-lawfull intent is not going to carry a gun in a case or even out on the steet in public anyway. so why stop law abiding citisens from enjoying their freedom at which we earn by being honest and co-operative. We the law abiding are the victims of the government and the ideas they pull from their *****!! i am dissapointed by this NoMercy

john darling is one of the gretest air rifle hunters that i have ever read about, he has an amazing book called 'air rifle hunting' that tells you all about the tips and musts and must nots of air rifle hunting i base how i hunt on this book. all thanks to him i am now a better hunter than i would ever have thort of becoming. may his soul rest in peace, if he is truly dead.

thanks alot guys for the informed replys so i can say that the power of my gun would be upgraded to around 17ft/lb, which is a far better number than 12ft/lb. I think that is what i will be going for then.

I have had many shots at rabbits, using a BSA lightning fitted with a Theoben gas strut at 12ft/lb's. All I shot where gutted and eaten by me:P Although I have done this many a time I never feel as though I am gutting and skinning in the right way, how do you skin a rabbit? Oh yeh and another thing u guys seem to be up on your hunting knowledge so let’s test your cooking skills, how dose a rabbit taste better, boiled, fried or grilled. Please could you give me your informed opinion? respect your quarry. THANKS
