Shame you're not closer, I've got a BSA lightning here that would be perfect for the job and around the £100 mark Personally I wouldn't touch a smk but maybe some other members on here have had good results with one.

will have to remember that

I thought it was .22 for fur .177 for feather....

Thanks for the reply's lads, Im hoping stubby has hit the nail on the head

The poison was dumped in one go, all the lot in one place. It's a new permission so don't know exactly how much was put down, a lot is still left. Some has deffinatly been eaten. Seen the blue droppings!

Hiya lads just wondering if anyone has ever put bait down for rats and it's been totally ignored? I put some peanut butter down yesterday on a new permission and there is LOTS of signs of rats in the area. The place looks riddled but I went back today and the bait had not been touched. A lot of poison has gone down a week or two ago so I'm thinking maybe they have all gone. Will be going tomorrow night with the night vision so will find out for certain then. KR

Avoid pointed pellets and stick to dome heads as they will give you much better accuracy. Try the brands already mentioned and see how you get on

I have a scope up for sale so as soon as that sells I'll be looking for one! Hardly use mr IR anyway and no chris PA placement won't be a issue. Thanks lads KR

I thought I hadn't seen EV before and yes I now remember AO. Thanks turbo!

Thank you lads, it's been that long since I looked into buying a scope I forgot what EV and AO stand for?

I tried them deffiants through my 177 superten mk3 a few years ago. Just recently visited a range with my 510 and thought AA fields where spot on until I tried the the jsb's, they must be a good .22 pellet the jsb as I've heard many people say the same. KR

Just after some advice please lads on what is the best scope I should be looking at for my pcp. Budget is around the £150 mark and would buy second hand that's not a problem. Thanks KR

Thought I had struck gold when I found these yesterday, never mind a flock of a thousand!

Well managed to find some pigeons a few miles away.... Unfortunately not on my permission though. Typical ! Picture really doesn't do it justice as to how many birds where on this field. Maybe one day!

Generous offer, I'm off all next week so have dropped you a pm. Well done bikemad

Hello chaps, just wondering if anyone is going to worsley tomorrow?
-
Yea give it a go lee it's not easy but you will get better at it we had a few successful trips, doing exactly what has already been mentioned. Decoy them into a sitty tree or the like. I used to find if I waited until the birds head slumped into it's shoulders you could make a little more movement than when they first land and are still on the look out. There beads are up and looking around, after 5-10mins they will relax and you can get into position without spooking them the same. KR
