  1. hey guys, was using gamebores clear pigeon 32g for a while (with my Hatsan Escort) and never had a single issue, i used with 28g velocity and every 3rd/4th shot the cartridges just refuse to eject properly. Is it the load that's the issue or the shotgun itself? has anyone else had issues with the Velocity Rounds?
  2. A good friend of mine has been hunting Sika and Fallow deer for some time now, and he asked me to start going with him
  3. Deer etc, i know how to handle a larger caliber rifle (in the armed forces) Id rather get it right first time.
  4. Hey guys, I was looking to invest in a Hunting Rifle, I am looking at a Remington 700 or similar, and was wandering what caliber you guys use? I've narrowed it down to 7mm or .308, what are the pros and cons for either of them. Thank you
  5. Ive always had an interest in Blades, its a part of my culture to be able to use and look after your own blades, I have a few larger ones, some very old and some newer... Just as you have the wood stocks and engraving on shotguns which people admire, so you can get Damascus patterns etc on blades which I find just as beautiful
  6. Hey guys, i wanted to put a better sighting system on my Mossberg and was wandering what everyone uses on theirs. I will be using this Shotgun for "practical shotgun" and not clay/bird shoots. Any advice would be more than welcome. I was looking to get a ghost ring on there... Regards
  7. Im looking for the right SBS to be honest haha, i really want a Damascus one, not sure how good they are though... thanks for the replies
  8. definately will! Looking forward to it. Just want to make a few slight alterations to the gun first.
  9. the way I see it is, would you feel safe around him? I don't think I would, the only time id hold any firearm in such a manner is if I was in a vehicle, otherwise I wouldn't, even if it was clear. If I was traveling in a helicopter id have the barrel facing downwards. I always have the breach open and the barrel resting on my toes or at least pointing down, it helps others around you feel safe, and you know nothing will happen to anyone else. just my 0.02 cents
  10. Hey guys, just thought id post a picture showing some of my collection let me know what you think!
  11. yeah I picked up one of them gerber pocket sharpeners too! great piece of kit to take with you when your out and about/camping etc
  12. I have been using the Lansky Diamond Sharpening Set for many years now, and it has never given me any issues, its very simple and easy to use for a beginner and as you get better at it, it keeps up to speed with you. It lasts forever, comes with everything you need (including honing oil) I have used it on everything from moras right down to Damascus blades.
  13. Hey guys! Finally got my hands on my first pump, say hello to my Mossberg 600!
  14. thank you , might post up to the pump club too! haha
  15. Hey guys, In the end I opted for the Mossberg 600. I went to the shop to have a look at a few pump action shotguns, they had the Remington and this 600 in stock, and it felt good when I held it, and also after going through thousands of videos and internet pages, it just seems to me that the Mossberg is more rugged and reliable, a real workhorse. This is the beginning of a project for me hopefully, there's a lot I want to do to this gun. We will see how it goes. Thank you all for your advice. Inderraj
  16. what cartridge are you using? I used 32g+ shells (about 100/200) through the gun to get it cycling proper, as I was told by the dealer. Never had an issue with it what so ever.
  17. cheers for the invite, i might be able to pop down for a bit of fun this weekend, i have an A300 myself which i could bring by. Yeah, hit the nail on the head there mate, would be nice to learn the ropes on a pump.
  18. Still seems quite open, I might just try and find someone who has both and try each of them out, see which one fits me best. Il probably end up buying both over time. There both very tried and tested, even though i'm leaning slightly more towards the Mossberg.
  19. Hey Guys, Anyone in the West Midlands area, near Wolverhampton with a Mossberg 500/590 or Remington 870 mind letting me have a few shots/lessons on them. Ill happy pay for the cartridges/help. I want to get into Practical shooting, but need somewhere to start. Inderraj

    death penalty

Prison cells and prisoners get better accommodation and food than i do in the Army, its pathetic really
  21. I might be abroad with the Army around then, but if im not, Id love to pop by and say hey!
  22. Yeah that's fair, The mossberg just seems to be more tried and tested from what i've read. I was looking at that too, that could be added into the list, its the military version isnt it? Indy
  23. Hey guys, Been looking at buying a Pump for a while now, had a look at all different models and managed to narrow it down to these two shotguns. Just wanted to know everyone's opinions and experiences with these 2 Shotguns, which would be a better buy. Gun will be used for a bit of fun really. Money is not an issue. Indy
  24. Ah ok thanks mate. I will try to find out the details before continuing with this, theres no legality issues with a larger capacity mag in that country, evrrything is just way to hard to find and expensive there.
  25. I was given the same advice when i got my Outlander. Where did you purchase the shotgun from? I put through 250 rounds of 36g before switching to a lower load just to be sure. Its not given me any cycling issues. I was given the same advice when i got my Outlander. Where did you purchase the shotgun from?
