Hi 12borebanger, we have not received any order from Mercury Hearing regarding your Sonic Valves. Please note that Mercury Hearing also manufacture Sonic Valves so the order may not be actually coming to us. We are though trying to contact them for you to get an answer either way.

Hi all, just to clarify that any CENS ProFlex product (passive or electronic) will need new silicone moulds replacing as your ears change. Based on having them done every 10 years this equates to less than £9 a year. You will not need to purchase the passive or electronic modules again.

If you would like to cut out noise at the moment you need to concentrate the most, then check out the ProFlex Competition model. This model features a program that mutes ambient sound amplification, giving you silience when you need it the most. You can then push the program button on the earpieces to go back to normal sound amplication for having a conversation etc. http://www.censdigital.com/comp.html

We attempt to help all our end users wherever possible. Due to the nature of these devices the components used in the manufacture are extremely small and need to be handled with care. The switch and volume controls are the user interface and so are the most likely parts to be damaged by excessive force. For their size these components are strong to a point. The same parts are used in hearing aids today and a very small number need replacing for the same reason. The hearing aids on the other hand are many times more expensive to purchase. Repairs and servicing are carried out by highly skilled and trained technicians using original high quality parts and every device is fully tested to ensure the physical and acoustic specifications are within tight tolerances before they are dispatched.

Yes we will have representatives at the CLA this year. Not sure who yet, but you can certainly ask one of them.

Yes this is an option. It will provide ambient awareness, but you will loose sound directionality. i.e you may not be able to tell which direction sound is coming from.

Anywhere between 5 and 10 years. It all depends on how much care you take, specially with cleaning them.
