looks like an Air Aarms S410? - I kept my air rifle in a cabinet for months wile I was waiting to get everything together to put in for my SGC and FAC. My Cabinet has to be in the loft so when When the FEO came out and had a look I think it helped that I had been going up and down to put me air rifle away every session.

What grease would you use to lube the tread?

I agree set the mag at 6x and focus at 100 yards and leave it there. I personally have never go on with the hawke scopes even on air rifle, but then again I have googly eyes!)

search on eBay for lining carpet I baught the stuff they use to trim and line vans it stretches pretty well and is nice and thin as well as protecting guns from knocking on inside of cabinet. If you have no wrapped stuff in viynal before then good luck!

Well that's certainly made my mind up that's shocking! When you say you have to be consistent on tightening it how do you do that? Surely you can't match the torque each time?

Hi Just starting out in the world of centre fire in the firm if browning a bolt .223. I've been told that the gasses and moisture caught in the mod can result in corrosion in the crown and barrel and that you should remove and clean mod after every outing and not store the gun with mod on. However I'm concerned by continuously taking the mod on and off will throw it off zero. What the general concensus leave it on or take it off???
