    Laptop advice

Working in IT i can't advise more strongly against buying apple products. They are difficult to work with and overpriced. Just get a sensible brand of laptop, i5 processor and atleast 4GB Ram. Get windows 7 instead of 8 and you'll do just fine. It may not look as pretty as the latest apple device but it will cause far fewer headaches.
  2. Great looking pup Spuddy, out of interest where did you get him from? Website / friend/ pet shop? Interested in getting a Chesapeake pup for myself at some point but a quick bit of research they seem a little hard to come by.
  3. Thanks for all the replies lads, most amusing and OCCASIONALLY informative More seriously, thankyou question answered!
  4. Thanks for the day Ian, it was great fun. Had the first couple of pigeon for tea last night and they were rather good! For anyone else lucky enough to see Ian offer free shooting take him up on it, he has a great location to shoot over and is a good guy to sit and chat with too.
  5. Hi Guys, Only been pigeon shooting a couple of times so im still working it all out. It's obvious that staying out of sight of the pigeons is key but what about sound? Clearly a shotgun bang scares them off but what about a normal conversation or other mid level noise in the hide? Does it put them off / stop them decoying. Cheers, Tom
  6. Sorry to hijack Andy's thread, but it looks to be turning into the 'new to Humber wildfowling FAQ'. I live up in Leeds, is there any advice on the nearest / best club to contact? (Nearest bit of water to me as the crow flies would be the Goole side)
  7. It is not Salopian. You can use o/u sxs whatever you like as long as you stick to good practice.
  8. I think Richie is right, Thorne to be specific. I was up there with Ezi shooting a driven day the other week, really nice guy he wont put you wrong.
  9. Hi all, The bottom line: Wanted: shotgun shooting, pigeon/game/wildfowl. Either solo or as a team. Offering: I.T. Help or beer! I live in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Im fairly new to shotgun shooting but have shot air rifles for a few years now. Also im a member of a clay club, have been pigeon shooting twice and am BASC insured. Looking for any opportunity in Yorkshire to join in! Happy to work alone or with someone else. Would love to spend time shooting pigeon / geese / duck etc. Long term permissions would be amazing to find but i understand they don't come easy, so i would be delighted to shoot just occasionally or even single days. Obviously you would be doing me a big favour if you help me out so id be happy to repay it. I work in IT so any computer problems / setup / viruses would be easy for me to help you with, beyond that id happily find a case of beer or similar if someone had a great opportunity for me and doesn't need IT help. I know opportunities are hard to come by but i hope someone has one! Many Thanks, Tom
