I recently bought a Fortemier Phoenix for my centre fire and took the Harris off of it. I now I use the Harris 9-12 swivel no complaints on my HW110 despite it been on a few different rifles over the last 7 or 8 years or so with no signs of ware. I shot 40 crows one night last week each and every shot exactly where it was supposed to be.
  2. I'm thinking of getting a compressor for my PCP. What would ye recommend as a reasonable and reliable one in or around the £200 mark. Pic for attention.
  3. I have 3 FFP scopes on other rifles both rimfire and centre fire and should have got a FFP for the HW 110 but the Frontier was a bargain at 250 euro for the 5-30 model that i couldn't resist.
  4. I recently got the 110st .177 in FAC and it's one of the most balanced firearms I've ever held and a dream to shoot. I would recommend one to anyone. It's a well finished precision piece of craftsmanship. I've topped it off with a Hawke Frontier that I might change for a Falcon in FFP and of 3 moderators a Daystate carbon fibre 6 an unknown branded one and SAK it's whisper quite with the SAK .
  5. No it's a thread protector that's on it with the profile of a mod. I'm in Ireland and we get an "S" on our licence to indicate we can have the mods. They are classed as a firearm in their own right under Irish law. I would need a readily available one or I would need to get import export licence
  6. Hi there I just picked up an FAC.177 HW 110st and was hoping some of ye here would be able to recommend the quietest mod for it. I'll be shooting in sheds and want to keep the noise to the minimum. Thanks.
  7. As I said above I have 2 on my centre and rimfires.a Steiner military tactical on my .270 and a falcon M18 on my 10/22 If I could afford another for my HW97k I'd swap my airmax EV in heart beat. I personaly find ffp way better than sfp.

  9. I have them on my centrefire and rimfire and find them great as it is very easy to use as the hash marks stay true at all magnafacations and don't change in relation to the target like a sfp scope.
  10. Finding the Airmax a great job on my HW97k bagging bunnies all over with it. Perfect for the rifle
  11. I got an Hawke Airmax EV 4-12*40 last week and so far can't fault it
  12. I took the docter scope off and put it on my 10/22 and bought a Airmax EV 4-12*40 for the HW97. I'm awaiting adjustable sports match mounts to arrive in the post but have fitted scope with cheap mounts I had until the new ones arrive. so far so good while now zeroed it is not maxed out but but don't think I have much elevation left until I fit the adjustable ones. Thanks for the help
  13. I thought the opposite that if the rear of the scope was higher as a raised MOA rail would give you would have more elevation to dial for further range. Anyhow I'll turn the rimgs now and will rezero tomorrow and let you know how I get on
  14. I'll try turning them but don't think the pin is in wrong but I will check it. If the pin was down too far would that not have the opposite effect to my problem like a 20 MOA rail would give you? as in extra elevation
  15. No have not switched the mounts they are a cheap set and the rear one has an arrestor pin
  16. After many delays with my licence it finally arrived and I picked up the HW97K and I fitted the Docter scope to it. My elevation maxed out at 1.2 mil (12) clicks low at 30 yards zero. Is there any canted one piece rail that someone would recommend for it.
  17. Thanks I'll give it a go first to see what It's like but It is going to be a great low light scope
  18. Hi there Iv just bought a HW97 and am awaiting the licence for it. I have 2 scopes in the at home to choose from a Bushnell 10*40 fixed in mil mil with target turrets or a Docter 2.5-10*48 with DBA reticle and with capped turrets which if these would suit the rifle best do you think
  19. Hi there I'm not new to shooting but am new to air guns just bought a HW 97 thumbhole black synthetic in .22 awaiting a licence for it Already have a .22lr and .270 centerfire Hope to learn a bit here from ye
