  1. Just had my permit for the Eden estuary come through. Not been that area before, anyone got any tips? Going to take few trips up that way before the season starts check it out. Cheers Stu
  2. Hi Lewis, Im near Livingston, pretty much as above. don't have a terrier(have a husky who can hold her own with the rats) I do have .22 also have plenty of chainsaws so can make a smoker if needed. let me know if i can be of any help. Cheers Stu.
  3. I would agree and echo what Walker said you have to learn to trust these dogs a lot more. The times mine has blanked a hedge only for me to send him in anyway, he goes in but comes out with a look of i told you there is nothing there!! Very different to how a spaniel would work a hedge. All my personal experiences of course.
  4. I’ve got a one. A dog, still young(nearly 2) but coming along great. They are very strong willed but very intelingent. I have found training quite easy as I’m just guiding his natural ability. Not trying to reel him in, like you would a spaniel say. So far used him for wildfowling, finding shot deer and rabbit shooting. Does it all with ease. As has been said seeing them go on point is a great sight. Even better when they are sent to flush and a bird erupts from the undergrowth. Great dogs!!
  5. Don’t mind traveling. Further distance just limits what I can do in return. Cheers for that I’ll give them a shout.
  6. Hi all, I am located in the central Scotland area and looking for some more work for my GWP. After anything really, dogging-in, picking up, counting. Am willing to help out where needed in return. Cheers,
  7. Thanks for that i shall give them a shout.
  8. Morning guys newbie here, I have recently moved up past the wall and into Scotland. West Lothian area to be more exact. I am aware of the slightly differing access laws in this part of the world but find it quite confusing, yes i can be quite simple at times. My question is 1, where am i able to undertake our chosen sport in my area, are there any good clubs to join for guidance. 2, where would people recommend to go, am more than willing to travel for a good area or any area for that matter. I currently live in pembrokeshire so my fowling at the moment is on the estuary here as part on Pembrokeshire wildfowling association. Thanks in advance Stu
