  1. Single shot in a synthetic stock, locks up nice and tight and very quiet with subs, il include any I find, cosmetic damage to the can where the paint chipped off but iv had tape on so never bothered me personally,Price is Β£225 and collection preferred but will rfd at additional cost or deliver if local, also advertised elsewhere and obviously only valid ticket holdersMany thanksChris
  2. Yeah good point to be fair, I imagine it takes a fair bit of lead to get warmed up, ready made it is then for now, I have a few kg of no5 i got in a deal a while ago I could use but really after no7 as it’s a .410, thought the extra pellet count would be helpfull. Very impressed upto now with the gun and how quiet it is, only thing that lets it down is the limited choice of subs to run through it πŸ™„
  3. Evening all, after a few failed attempts at making my own shot maker for the hushpower I’m just wondering if anyone nearby has one I could possibly rent for a hour or so , iv got the lead but no way of turning it into usable shot, so if anyone has one in the South Yorkshire area i would gladly throw you a few quid to turn my lead into something more than a paperweight. it’s not a lot of lead, probably about 4-5 lbs but I could definitely do with 4lbs of shot, maybe ******* in the wind but thought it may be worth a shot, no pun intended πŸ™„, all the best.
  4. Haha cheers walshie, and hats off to your mrs, mine won't entertain the idea of bikes full stop, although I think it's it's due to restoring a nsr in the kitchen for 18 months, still have the oil stains on the kitchen table, well, she calls it stains, I call it memories. Hoping to have it all passed for summer. with regards to the slow control I'm feeling confident about that bit, it's the high speed stuff I'm nervous about, I'm doing the mod 1 stuff this Sunday so il hopefully iron out any problems before the actual test, got another full day of practice on the 18th so I can only hope I have it nailed by then, just hope nerves don't get the best of me.
  5. I hope so drut, I think it's more fear of the unknown, thanks Mickyh, any luck is appreciated, I think the nerves will settle a bit when iv actually ridden on one, I hope so anyway, got my eye on a nice 1998 bandit 600 that'll look smashing in the garage ?
  6. As above, got my mod 1 test on the 19th ? Anyone done it recently ? Any tips ?, used to ride a 125 regularly about 10 years ago to get to work and back, in total I rode for about 4 years ish until my bike got nicked, passed the theory, did my cbt again last week and enjoyed being on 2 wheels but this Sunday will be my first time on the big 600, instructor reckons il need about 3 days training, 3rd day is half a days training and then the test, how easy is a 600 to ride compared to a 125 ? Iv been told there a lot easier to handle due to the weight etc but never actually ridden one it seems very daunting, bricking it slightly if I'm honest, any tips ?

    air pistol

Had a good amount of air pistols over the years, majority of them co2, best one i had co2 wise was a benjamin eb22, more powerfull than accurate....just have the hw45 and webley tempest now, well worth considering good old spring power πŸ‘
  8. Happy new year all, hope you all have good health and lots of pigeons πŸ‘ safe shooting guys
  9. Where abouts is the header tank sitting ?
  10. Well it was a eye opening programme to say the least, I don't agree with alot of things in the uk but I'm definitely grateful I don't live in a country where I feel I have to have a "where to shoot the burglar" talk with my kids.
  11. 17 weeks doesn't sound too bad, Mine took nearly ten months from handing the application in to getting a home visit but I'm South Yorkshire, and that was with a few phone calls and emails, cert didn't arrive for another 3 weeks after that, if they say it's all signed off etc then shouldn't be too long for you hopefully, if in doubt just keep phoning them, best of luck πŸ‘
  12. As already said above lol, teach me to take so long to post a comment πŸ˜‚
  13. Its not just the mod that misplace there kit, I remember reading something about a armed response officer leaving her pistol in a public toilet 😳
  14. Thanks for the replies fellas, the land currently is not cleared for anything, I do believe I'm the only person to shoot on it since the landowners dad who passed away 20+ years ago, hence the population of rabbits, iv asked for it to be cleared for 22lr as his wife keeps horses so need to be quiet about it. Don't know anyone with a open cert but Iv just this afternoon managed to borrow a s410 from a pal so hopefully get a few tomorrow and at least show I'm trying. Feels like a constant battle with the firearms team, took them 10 months to grant me the Certs, they must be sick of me ringing by now πŸ˜–
  15. Hi all, does anybody know the police procedure for checking land ?, the Flo visited my perm about 3 weeks ago and i spoke to him on the same day, said he would make his recommendations to his boss that afternoon and a decision would be made, phoned a few days later and he wasn't in his office and would call me back, he didn't, twice that happened, phoned last week and he was on leave, phoned today and he's on training all week and to phone him Monday, there's nothing nowhere to say if the land has been passed or not, meanwhile got a grumpy landowner ringing and updating me on the ever increasing population of rabbits that he wants gone. Thinking it might be quicker to buy a pcp, Surely a yes or no answer can't take what is going to be a month ? Or is this the normal sort of time ? Many thanks, Chris.
  16. Such a brave kid, my son is the same age and can't begin to imagine how the parents feel, I guess sometimes life is wasted on the wrong people and I hope karma catches up with the disgusting lowlife that did it.
  17. Hi andy, from sheffield too πŸ‘, all the best, Chris.
  18. Looks like il be sticking with the air rifle for abit longer then, although it is satisfying knocking rabbits over with a springer
  19. Got a call from a fella in firearms dept yesterday to say he'd received my letter about having a new perm cleared for .22lr, roughly how long does it take for them to come out and check it ? It's the smallest permission I have so far at 18 acres, got a lot of decent backstops tho so fingers crossed but I forgot to ask him how long it takes 😁

    Gas ram

I do believe you can't ram the tx200, but it's a smooth shooting gun anyway and gas rams are abit snappy, I have both a tx and a theoben slr 98, both are on par with each other accuracy wise but the tx is a nicer gun to shoot hands down πŸ‘
  21. Hi all, does anyone know if a Webley longbow se stock will fit a xocet with a bit of diy etc ?, bought the xocet as abit of a project and although I'm not a fan of the Turkish made webleys I do like that thumbhole stock, any info greatly appreciated πŸ‘

    Diana Mauser K98

All that's missing is a bolt, and more importantly and a bayonet, then you could shoot the rabbit and gut it at the same time, fantastic.
  23. Hi and welcome, just joined myself, brilliant site πŸ‘
