I bought these reels partly to use and partly to collect. They are superbly engineered and the best reels I've used. In my opinion the SA20 is the perfect general purpose boat reel; the SA30 is mechanically identical but with more line capacity; whilst the SA50 can handle anything that swims in UK waters, including skate. All these reels are designed for braid, but mono is also fine. Personally, I back with mono and top with braid. All three have much higher drag capacity than bog standard reels. They can be used for casting as well as boat fishing. All three reels are in immaculate, almost as new condition. I've used the 20 a few times, the 30 twice, and the 50 once. The 20 and 30 have original boxes, drawstring bags, instructions and spanners. I cant find the box etc for the 50. The 30 and 50 have optional big game reel clamps, the 20 doesn't take a reel clamp as the frame is too narrow. I'm looking for £290 + postage for each reel. Happy to split, obviously. No offers please, the price is firm and reasonable. Thanks for looking.

That sort of makes sense, but its still meant to dissociate the brand from the fault, and they've no legal right to set conditions on the refund. They just dont want to pay to have the faulty goods returned. You'd think they'd want them to inspect the cause of the leak. Then again, they might have had others returned from the same batch previously. I am cynical I admit.

They've a damn cheek. You were due the refund. Perhaps you should have replied: I've a better idea: give me the refund, or I'll plaster it all over interweb and really cut your brand off.

This gun belonged to a recently deceased neighbour and I'm selling it for his wife. He bought it new about 20 years ago to shoot rats and squirrels. He bought the tin of pellets with the gun, and only about 100 have been fired. It still had factory grease on the action. £75. Though an entry level piece, its surprisingly competent. The long underlever makes cocking easy, yet Ive read they deliver about 11 ft lbs. I've tested it, and it groups well. It doesnt have a scope, but for vermin at short range that's often preferable. I can post at the buyer's expense, which I think its less than £10 with Parcelforce. Pick up is also fine. Its a well balanced and pleasant gun to use. Ive tried to show any dings on the woodwork, but there's really nothing major.

Thanks for that.

Does anyone know the size of the wee high pressure seals in early model Hill pumps? I'm having trouble replacing it. The original is a jade green colour. It's too damaged to get accurate dimensions from. The prices the gunshops charge for these o rings is ridiculous. I want to find a cheaper source.

If a member called Scolari01 messages you, watch out. They look like a scammer. Sent me an email address which I googled and found reference to scamming.
