Yes I gathered that they wouldn't allow shooting I wonder why there is nothing in place to catch them with traps at Go ape Grizedale Centre the people who work there say they always see grey squirrels I said how long have you seen Grey squirrels here they said every yeah.

Hi lads Im wondering who Controls Grey squirrels in the Lake District Grizedale Forest I was cycling on the red Trail. near the end of my cycle trial there was a tree coughed out into a bench looking over at hawkshead and I seen 3 grey squirrels whilst having a break I could not believe it ? if I had my gun they would not be alive now. I asked a couple of questions about the grey squirrels at the cycling centre they said they have seen a couple of them around go ape. I was just wondering if there was anyone controlling them in that are I visit Grizedale couple of times throughout the summer seasons and Im wondering if they need any help controlling them if I can. Thanks jay

?? only got one night off work this week going to get out in the morning for a walk about check the feeder maybe try a bit of night shooting on the rats. -

That's what you want mate keep them coming they sense trails from other squirrels as long as you keep on top of your feeders you are doing a great job, that's what I think myself sometimes where are they coming from they are coming from the outskirts where you are not shooting that's what we want one of the places I go to you may not see them for awhile then all of a sudden they come back that's what we want.

Out in the hide in the morning there has been a couple of grey squirrels on my feeder hoping they retain on the feeder tomorrow weather looks nice so should be good ?

What area do you live in they will be a body near you I have just found one close to me by Wigan my stock needs re-doing so I am going to look into getting mine done again would not bother with that link I sent you for eBay looks a bit complicated mate

Hello clemfandango, ye wrapping is probably better and more affective in biger Woodlands The places that we do it not that big of woodland and we have time to do it, like you said it is a lot of fun doing it on feeders. we you'se to see a lot of grey squirrels but the numbers are not that big no more set up I set up my trial cameras to see what numbers I get on feeders and it is not a lot which is good to see makes you feel good that you are doing something we are working on different areas to do it a lot of the areas that we do our Privateland there will be a day I will go out and I will not see a grey squirrel. The sport is getting bigger as you can see on Facebook there is a lot of people all over the UK doing a good job.

I think it's the best way shooting grey squirrels how someone can say it's a better success in trapping them sorry but I think that is bull**** I would rather be shot not knowing it then be locked in a cage waiting to be shot that's just the way I see it mate

I think from the years I've been shooting Grey squirrels I find it's a lot easier and better shooting grey squirrels on feeders you get a lot more if you keep them topped up regularly it keeps them coming I have tried trapping squirrels and I didn't like doing it because I was only getting 1 or 2 on feeders I will be getting between 6 and 7 we have a group that works together as a team to keep on top of feeders and it's a good success last year we had a good number of grey squirrels that we have eliminated them off feeders sometimes you will be lucky to see one which is a good thing now we are getting what is coming in from the outside. If you keep a good food source for them you are on for a winner if you have a good team of people to do it ?

I took a lovely picture of a red squirrel in Formby couple of months ago I was videoing it and then I took a picture and this was the picture I got I was feeding him monkey nuts they love them the red squirrels around the Formby area are travelling out because of friends Who has been shooting grey squirrels on a farm for years and he has seen a red squirrel on one of his feeders in Rice Lane Liverpool he is waiting to catch good footage of it but he says it looked perfectly healthy to him he spotted another one couple of weeks ago Rosemary wood Fisheries Lancashire which is a good sign, we cover a couple of places culling grey squirrels around the Northwest and a Place in Runcorn we have been doing for couple of years we have had good numbers of Grey squirrels we use feeders to cull them in from the outside sometimes we are lucky to see one we must be on the winning battle in this area just got a keep up the good work ?

Another Good method is to use trial cameras on your feeders and you can keep track on numbers and when they feed at the right times. ?
