I’ve got a few mossbergs and they all use browning invector chokes or win-chokes
(basically the same thing as both company’s have the same parent company)

id be all over this if it was closer but im way north. RFD an option?

its just a marketing racquet. late 2021 early 2022 i got a 1000 cartridges through my PSG club made by eley apparently to spec for practical shooting supplies. 28g of 6 fibre wad, 70mm, high brass all black case stamped with a silver 6 and thats it. usually use Olympic blues and these were somewhat smoother and really leathered the birds. i think they were maybe eley vip unbranded.........£55-60 quid a slab.
none of the big players will release a 28g 6 fibre thats not aimed and priced for grouse shooters because they will make most of the product line redundant.
ive still got a few ill dig them out and upload pictures

its not on the doctors or staff, if it were it would be an isolated thing.
schools, buses, rail,, border force, airports, freight, postal service, BT, binmen, firefighters, baristers all have been on strike in 2023 or late 2022. im honestly surprised the political parties dont throw the next election because at some point the music stops and whoever is in charge when it does are finished.
they deserve better working conditions and pay, we all do, but to deliver that we all have to be taxed more and whos realistically gonna sell that to the public in the current climate and expect votes.
situations untenable. stall stall stall. only viable tactic. and thats all they have done and all they will do.

take it the bloke asking for one in the wanted section didnt want this one

i kind of had the same thing. the last 4 or 5 years decoying results have declined and the last 2 have been very poor, but roost shooting results have been the best i ever had. maybe (at lease in my area in the north east) the decent summers have made the availability of woodland food like ivy and acorns more abundant. i was still in tshirts late october, maybe the pigeon calendar has shifted about. who knows its the fun thing about wild birds i suppose

is what it is, id not worry yourself about it especially if it arrived before you've even had a chance to complain
its annoying but its not the end of the world.... its fox stink and it was only a day late. The reality is, a mysterious bottle of liquid was posted, at the bussiest time of year and unfortunately it went walk about. arrived a bit late. if its the postage cost is it really worth your time jumping through the hoops for what? £10?, if its principle it was a mistake and mistakes happen. i doubt giving someone whos working over xmas a hard time if gona fix anything. try and enjoy the holidays.
p.s ive heard good stuff about this lure i might have to order some myself, no doubt karma will get mine lost in the mail and i cant really come forward and say anything about it now

all articles i can find just lead back to LBC and LBC is and has always been paper thin journalism. no statistics, no numbers doesn't even mention the country or what type of migrants they are. id wager the story is actually "Christmas sees an influx in economic migrants returning home to see families"

i dont think old people are bad drivers per say but with age everything slows down but the car. and theirs a reason were not allowed to drink and drive. how many old people are driving around with the reaction and mental sharpness of someone whos had a skin full?.

im north east and im always game go to out for a shoot, drop me a PM and well sort somthing out if youd like mate

theyre not warm gloves. theyre gloves that provide grip in all weather conditions and they excel at that imo and i wear them most of the year round . my hunt for waterproof warm gloves with dexterity is still ongoing as i find the macwets fall down a bit on the foreshore but as someone else said a pair of latex gloves under them does go a long way to keeping the cold out.
ive had a few pairs of macwets and im a big fan

Casually following this thread, but can't find these detailed either by Eley or Just C'. Could you add a physical size for these?
it would seem they only make em in a 4,5 now but i bought a fair few and they are stamped with a big 3 on em.

Stoped watching it when he went on about High Velocity but referencing shot size, clearly not someone to take advice from as its High Performance not velocity.
yeah he said anything bigger than a steel 4 is "high velocity" ive got a slab of eley vip eco steel 32g 3s at 1230fps that are neither high velocity or high performance.
each to their own but for me its painfully simple fleur de lis- high performance, anything else -standard steel. as for chokes ive found it starts to make no diffrence or blows the pattern out worse after half choke so i just use half maximum across the board.

I use commercial shoots all the time now and have yet to visit one using non toxic shot.
are they the big ones?

im still onboard with BASC if im honest, i know people give them no time of day but i cant help think they seen all this coming and knew it would be a fight that might be lost to a major detriment.
the volantry transition away from lead for game shooting where the meat will enter the market food chain and single use plastics was a move to pacify and divert. i dont know about any of you but id take that in a heart beat now if they left smallbore, clays and game i shoot for personal consumption alone. the weight would then fall on the shoulders of big comercial shoots that all seem to have transitioned to none toxic 2 seasons ago with no issue.

“The man from BASC” was very helpful when he visited our DIY syndicate.
And it’s as pointless as broken pencil to point this out but;
BASC proposed a voluntary phase out of lead & single use plastic - albeit with terrible PR - not a ban.
But that nuance was lost on people at the time & clearly remains so.
agreed. the plan was to show that the shooting community can be flexible and reasonable and at the same time control the situation on our terms on what was clearly coming down the line to us anyway.
ok it wasnt handled as well as it could have been, but realistically without basc wed be in a bit of a situation becasue who would have squared away the GL issue a few years back or the countless none starter court cases by packham. theyre also still pressing on about licencing turn around times. self fufilling prophersy not suporting the only organisation with any really clout thats on our side.
i ask again whats SACS all about becasue if they have some clout or talk some sense ill become a member of that too.

they are what they are. a day out with my mates looking at stuff and getting hands on. then i go home and find it way cheaper on line. if its not a big purchase and the diffrence is a few quid then i gan home with somthing new. aslong as i get in for free with basc ill still go every year.

im not his mate like lmao, ive never met the bloke.

im a basc member and for the most part support what they do.
this sacs orginisation, honest question what do they do?. are they at the courtcases, legal actions and promotions for the sport or are they just an insurance firm for people who have a bad taste for basc?. not wanting to start a fight more intrested in fact as ill support both if they are somthing more. already been on the website and its all generic they got to make it themselves afterall.

Thanks, there's a similarly priced 692 locally also. I think the only real thing that put me off the 682 was knowing it's a 2008 gun so has probably had thousands of cartridges through it already. I was thinking of longevity. New B525 sporters currently similar prices and £200 cash back so come in cheap. They just didn't look as nice as the Beretta and feel a touch slower. I know I've heard a lot of people liking one brand only Miroku/Browning or the Beretta's. I went to look at both and liked both. Just leant towards the Beretta having had Beretta Semi Autos and shooting well with them previously.
Lots of food for thought
the conical locking pins/bars are made this way to account for this they just self adjust so it stays tight. aparently you can aslo get oversized hinge lugs for when they start to show wear never heard of anyone needing them.. but honestly id probably not have an issue with it at 15 years old even if id did 100+ clays a weekend since new. theyre pretty robust guns. get a hold of it youll feel if its tight and solid

gold E
recently picked up a 1993 s686 special and i love it. thought it was just a silver pigeon before they were called so, but got my hands on a new SP and honestly i feel mine is a bit more gun. SP still great guns but beretta are obviously keeping the price competative and profitable so little things had to give.
2008 is nothing for a looked after quality gun. and id say it will be the better built gun. a decade or 2 down the line and the gold E will probably be worth twice the SP
