  1. Out of curiosity, what is the wad on the 20b cartridges? Only started shooting last year, and never seen "photo" for a wad? 😅
  2. Looking to sell my 525 to help fund buying a true left hand version. This has the factory fitted adjustable comb and barrels are 30", bores are clean. Just the odd slight dinks to the wood from taking in and out of the cabinet. Sold with the case. Bought second hand by myself late last year, but I've been putting money aside to buy a brand new one. Currently has a left hand kick eez palm swell fitted, this can be removed if not being purchased by another leftie. Stock is fairly straight and with the adjustable comb, fits me (as a LH shooter) pretty well. Not in a massive urge to sell, but will consider sensible offers - mostly wanting to scratch an itch in getting the true left hand opening 525. Comes with factory chokes, or for an extra £150 will come with a cased set of 5 Teague chokes and teague choke key (2x flush both skeet, 3x extended one each of 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4). Asking for £1000 + RFD at cost or offers thereabouts. £1150 with Teague chokes. Happy to meet at a clay ground in Central Scotland on a weekend (or at Scone next Sunday) Note: Gun is pictured with 2 additional teague chokes. These ones are not offered for sale as they'll be getting put in the new gun 😅
  3. Could I ask, where you got the easy loader? I've just gotten myself one of these (3 shot version currently no FAC). I'm hoping to join a practical club soon and these loading gates seem a pretty big upgrade over the factory standard 😅 Cheers, Chris
  4. Thanks all for the replies! Looks like I've got a pretty good list to buy now. Can't wait to get to the shops and buy a load of **** that's not on it as well 😂 If I could ask, as I'm probably being a bit thick... I've seen these "hypa-flap" things on ebay which someone else recommended to me, they seem lightweight (non-motor version) and affordable enough that I could get 1 just to try. Thing is, it specifically says it doesn't come with any kind of pole for it! Looks like it can just get stuck on a big straight pole to bob along but not sure what kind of pole am I looking at? 😅 Cheers!
  5. Hi All, Sure it's been asked a million times before, but rubbish finding things with search, always seems to never be specific enough with the search terms... Looking for a bit of advice, as I'm planning on getting my own kit now, as it turns out I get free shot at the pigeons along with a sim driven club I joined. Trying to work out what I need right from the off, and what can be put on the "get it, but later" list. Currently on the shopping list: Decoys - just planning to do with these for now, eventually investing in a magnet as well, although been told about these "flapper" things that are dead good and can get ones that just go off the wind? https://www.fishingmegastore.com/decoys/jack-pyke-half-shell-pigeon-decoy-12-pack~81738.html# Camo netting - do I need to get 2? I've only had 1 day out before, and the guide I was with doubled up? Was looking at this - https://www.fishingmegastore.com/camo-hides/jack-pyke-stealth-camo-net-4m-x-15m~68471.html# Hide poles - Any recommendations on cheap and cheerful ones? Heard about getting stuff out of the garden centre but not quite sure what they sell them as? Camp seat - just gonna grab something comfortable. Have I missed anything or any recommendations I should add? Cheers, Chris
  6. Looks like it was removed. I tried going to it from my email notification. Could the issue have been with it being in the "Guns for Sale" section of the trading post? Instead of the "Other Sales" as this post is in?
  7. Ta, will give them a ring as well. (Think I actually tried calling them this morning, but they open at 9.30?) Honestly will probably just keep with my current 525 if I can't find it though, as I shoot pretty decently with it as is (R/H cast, but with adjustable comb). Only fancied changing to a LH cast/LH opening after trying a Blaser at a demo day, and finding how much more comfortable it was to open the gun. Cheers for the pointer! Chris
  8. Hi Folks, Just wondering if there were any of these knocking around S/H? Searching on GT and round the local (and not so local) dealers to me in Edinburgh, but these are like hens teeth. Trying to avoid going down the buying new route (just because of the extra cost)! But thinking I may have to 😞 To clarify, I am not just after a 525 with LH cast, but the true LH model, with the top lever opening the "wrong" way Cheers and thanks in advance! Chris
  9. Thanks for the reply! Had someone message me about him when I asked on FB as well, sent him an email a few weeks back and yet to hear anything. Will have to follow up... Unless you'd recommend an alternative way to contact him? Cheers, Chris
  10. Quality bits of kit for someone wanting to get into salmon fishing there. Rod and reel are probably worth that new as well. Maybe worth putting your location as well? As it sounds more a collection job?
  11. Thanks! Will have to see when I can next get down there 😅 have fishing booked for the next few weeks Possibly, but interestingly the "1320 BAR" were very clearly stamped. Other marks on base of the barrels were much harder to see for me.
  12. Hi folks, Thanks for all the comments! To be honest, there must be a proof stamp somewhere, I think they were really just not as clear as the pressure rating? I will have to try and have another look as it does have 2 3/4 chambers. I am also tempted to leave it for longer and see if I can find a better "bargain" though, seeing as the prices only seem to keep going down on these SxS's. Replying to Enfield, thank you very much for the info especially re: what to open it out to! I did however give the Birmingham office a buzz shortly after posting this (as I read an article that suggested that it would need a visit to the proof house) and they advised that any barrel work, whether opening fixed chokes or "teaguing" it, would require reproofing... Clear as mud this whole steel business 🥴😂
