  1. I did try a box of Fiocchi FBlu not too long ago, the chap in the shop said it's all he ever shoots with. Seemed like a solid practice cartridge. They did not disappoint
  2. Any good recommendations that'll do good job breaking clays and not the bank? I'm always up for trying something new
  3. Thank you both for the help. I'll have a look for an email address or form, see if I can reach out to Lyalvale. Like I said they performed absolutely fine, but maybe this is an occasional issue that comes from cartridges in that price bracket. If I get any feedback from the manufacturer I'll drop an update. Thanks again.
  4. I've had a quick rummage and found 24 spent cartridges with the nodule. They could possibly be from the same box but I couldn't say for sure. But, they are definitely from the same slab. I just found the same on a Power Red and a Super Light too! I like this 'Swaging' theory. Seems like it could be a production anomaly.
  5. They were present on the unfired cartridges, that's how I first noticed it. They would not fit into the chamber of a Greener GP. They fired perfectly fine and ejected without any issues from a Browning.
  6. Does anyone out there know what these two tiny nodules are on the brass of a Lyalvale English Sporter 12 cartridge? Curiously, I have other batches of English Sporters that do not have them and they look too clean to be a deformation. I probably would not have noticed it, but they would not fit into the chamber of my Greener GP. Looking at other cartridges I've used, none of those have it. english sporter cartridge.mp4
  7. I can't sit down and watch TV like I did when I was younger anymore. I find it's a pattern of gambling sites, furniture sales, cologne, bingo, cars and some app for you to make money with, then repeat. ITV is amongst the worst offenders. These days we only turn the thing on to watch something specific that we know is on, then we turn it off. Although, the irn-bru christmas advert deserves a special mention for being funny. Maybe if there was some genuine humor in what we're exposed to, we might be less opposed to it. That and it has to be truthful, obviously.
  8. For me it's not the machines themselves that are better, it's the MacOS operating system. Even with all its bugs it still offers a better, cohesive user experience than anything after Windows XP. There are a few things about the operating system however that have crept in over the years that you may find yourself up against after using it for a while. 'Gatekeeper' is a prime example of Apple trying to discourage the average computer user from being able to install software that's NOT from their App Store. A search for 'disabling gatekeeper on MacOS' will show you how to get around such unwanted obstructions, but don't go down that rabbit hole until you're comfortable using your new computer. I've used MacOS for 20+ years both personally and professionally and anything I've ever been stuck on was usually solved by watching someone on youtube who had a video about the exact same problem. Neither OS is without its problems but MacOS is much more pleasant on a day to day basis.
