Have used it many times after refinishing a stock, be careful though, rub too hard and it will take all the finish off. Best to leave the stock a few days to make sure the oil has fully dried. Rick.

Is it possible your son your son has inadvertently hurt the dog when play fighting or picking him up?.The growling could be down to a number of things, fear aggression, dominance or something else. I would recommend that all play fighting be stopped before things get out of hand and someone ends up being badly bitten. Hope this helps, Rick.

Personally I would cover all aspects of training first, work on live game, cold retrieves, shoot over her( preferably let someone else shoot while you work her) warm retrieves and so on. You cannot train on the beating line,there is far to much excitement going on for a novice dog. Get everything right at home first and then(slowly) introduce her to the beating line. Rick.

Depends on the type of shooting you do, if you want a hunting/flushing dog then you can't beat a spaniel, if you want a dog for retrieving shot game then go for a lab. Both will do each others jobs, but for me it's horse for courses. Rick.

I know that Eibar is the name of a region in Spain famous for it's gunmaking but I cannot find any information on this particular maker. Its only a cheaper made gun as far as I can tell so probably from one of the smaller makers. Rick.
