  1. Hi guys i have been asked to put some of these simulated days on here in Norfolk ,I was thinking about putting on two drives then a quick snack then three drives ,(all drives at different locations) then a sit down meal in the local pub.Cost around £120 to £150 per person,I would expect every one to shoot a minimum of 250-300 of your own cartridges,What are your thoughts re., number of drives, having a meal , lunch time or at end of the day,or indeed not having a meal and cost Also whats a comfortable number of guns as i want the right atmosphere.
  2. Hello I live in the middle of nowhere and a trip to a gun shop involves busses, trains and iron rations so any advice or suggestions greatly received. I have a Franchi 48AL missing a butt plate and screws and need to source a new/2nd hand one, It is my least favourite semi auto because the butt works loose and needs tightening after 100 odd shots of light 24/28g (which I believe is normal and mentioned in the owners manual) and I have a neoprene sleeve with rubber shims that needs to come off on on again. I read somewhere about putting blue screwlock on but not sure if this would work. Cheers N. Also I put BUTT PLATE into google images search and am still traumatised.
  3. So finally picked up a nice Tikka t3 lite 223, which I Intend to put an mtc viper 10x44 30mm tube scope onto. Rings and bases? The dealers local to me are poor on mounts stock, so I will have to order online. To save returns, can anyone who has a similar set up advise me on the correct bases and rings/height? I may go 50mm objective later on so may be a further consideration. Many thanks.
  4. Hi Guys I am after a clay trap for personal use,it is for children to start/learn and hopefully go on to better things.we 2 adults would also like to have a go occasionally,my guess is 300 clays a month for probably 5-6 months a year. Would this fit the bill http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Promatic-Clay-Pigeon-Trap-Hobby-on-a-Trolley-/201519957615?hash=item2eeb86866f:g:xqMAAOSwwbdWPI7b Many thanks if you can help or point me elsewhere Fielddweller
  5. Hi, I am looking for details of the practical shotgun safety course run in the North Yorkshire area, if anyone has done the 2 day course or if you know when the next one is being run then please let me know. I understand it is a two day/ 14 hr course and you need about 300 cartridges but I don't know if my semi auto (12g, section 2, fixed half choke) would be suitable or if there is scope to hire a pump/semi auto for the training course. Many thanks N.
  6. How deep should the rto be on a cart, in this case a 20g? Or the height above the overshot card before rto? Also, would an rto affect the pressure and require different load data over a crimp closure? Thanks T33
  7. Hi Guys after a bit of advice, has anyone on here tried to improve their trigger pull on a 10 22 themselves, if so how hard is it, or is their accost effective trigger kit on the market ? appologies if this post has already been covered mark
  8. Can the reloading gods suggest a good 30grm fibre 12g load no:6? Game fair season is approaching so a good excuse to stock up a bit and save the hazmat charges!!. Many thanks T33
  9. I am starting to look into buyin a second hand 223rem for fox and vermin. Probably a Remington 700 SPS, Tikka T3, CZ 527, Browning X or A Bolt or Ruger M77 or American. What should I be looking to avoid in this calibre in terms of wear?I know that it is'nt a "barrel burning" round as per say. What budget should I be setting as a minium for a gun in good condtion? I was think around 300-400 gun only. Cheers in advance
