That's working pressure 207bar and test pressure 323bar. Its probably rusted internally and will have to be shot blasted and tested. Mine cost £25.00 for test/blast and fill. You will also need the threaded connector to connect an A clamp or Din connector to. IMHO it probably not worth it for the bottle being 207 bar. As it still might fail and you will still have to pay for the test.
Billy.
Whatever you do, do not attempt to have it filled without having it checked first. If you try to get it filled, you are potentially going to kill the guy filling it and you stood nearby. It's probably on a tip for a reason, so do take proper care before doing anything silly. EDIT, yes 207 bar is fine for airguns. Probably not for FAC air though. Edited September 27, 2009 by harfordwmj
bruno22rf
thanks for the replies, guys,i will give my local dive centre a call and see what they say-if its only around £25 to blast and test and ive allready got the gauge/whip then i could say a few quid. onlyme
imho pal 207 bar will not give many fills at all, for example going upon recharging my aas400 to 175 bar , just above its optimum, it will give 24 refills , if refilling from 100bar. and no doubt you will get a few more handy fills out of this too compared to roughly 70-75 from a 300bar setup . but if its cheap , its cheap i live 20 miles from a dive center for refilling, so out of being lazy i went with the higher pressure bottle to save journeys. Andy H
If it has no valve in it you will be looking at £30 quid plus even before it has a test and shotblast.
kitkat1963
I use a 207 bar, 8 litre tank to fill my BSA ultra. If it's out of test, you won't get it filled anywhere! And as mentioned above, if it fails it's test, the dive center will cut the tank up and still charge you for it. It only takes me 2 minutes to charge the Ultra with my FX 3 stage pump, but I have just bought a Brocock Hunter too, so that may be a bit more work with a pump.
