ph5172
Has anyone disabled the auto safe feature on a Beretta? It kicks in as the top lever is pushed across and the barrels opened, i assume its a rod connected between the 2? is it a simple home DIY job to 'fix' to a manual safe or am i best to let the gunsmith do it, i have been quoted £20 and part of me thinks for that i may just as well let him do it. Cheers
DaveB916
For £20 I would be letting an 'expert' do it. Dave B

beretta
it would take you 10 mins if your half competent but for £20. as above posts.
utectok
Reall simple the part that needs altering is a flat shaped plate that slides on the underside of the top of the action. Take out the action and you can see how it operates.

ph5172
you can download a PDF of the exploded gun at cole guns google it up . Thanks Mate i couldnt find a high quality schematic. i think for £20 i will let the Gunsmith do it (because if i do it its sure to go wrong or i will loose that little retaining screw!!) Tis1979
Browning was sued some years ago for selling the shotgun with safety catch on manual only but supplying the rod to make it auto. The guy who bought it thoght it was easy to do as they gave him the part. He didn't do such a great job and the gun went off as he opened it. I would give it to the Gunsmith to carry out the work, as said £20 £25. Good luck Kind regards Tristram
