malkiserow
I've a Rizzini 20 bore which I intend to seel very soon but unsure how to work out what value it is before I advertise it. My question is really - how much to sideplates add to the value (mine has them). The rest of the gun is O/U SST 1/4 +1/2 fixed choke. The side plates have very nice game engraving on them. Thanks
Guest stiv24
I'd compare it to similar guns on guntrader and then price accordingly
MJN
e rixzzini or b rizzini ? gt has one for 450 sideplate 20g Edited October 14, 2009 by MGMan
babka3487
I'd agree with stiv24, the best way is to see what similar priced guns are going for elsewhere. If guntrader does'nt help then try ukgunroom, failing that you could always give it to me for free!

George1990
I have a fairly old E. Rizzini, but 12 bore, with the same sideplates as the one in the link above (they do vary though). 2 3/4 chambers though, and not steel proofed. These generally go about £370 ish, but I got mine for £295 as there were 2 filled in circles where coins or something had been on the fore-end. So you should look above £370 I would imagine. COACH
 Good luck with the sale, try selling it to a woman, they will love it because of the lack of recoil with one even with a 28g load. COACH
 The Emilio Rizzini`s were made in the 80s and were only £329 when new and most had side plates but are in no way side locks. The side plates are just for show. However although cheap when new they have lost very little value over the years, they are still worth the same money as when they were new. A nice 20b is worth around £350/375. Trouble is they took the 12g action and just put 20g barrels on it which made it a bit heavy but there is not much recoil with one because of the weight. CBL
I have an E Rizzini - purchased around 1985 for around £300 - which was my first gun. It still shoots very well indeed, has gone everywhere from the foreshore to the grouse moors and has never let me down. Only things I have ever had done to it were to get the stock fitted and the top choke amended to 3/8ths. Aside from that, still clean and tidy and will hopefully continue to be used for years to come.
SXPhil
Whilst I haven't been shooting long I have noticed guns hold their value quite well so the first question I would ask is what did you pay for it?
