Corner desk help

I built my own corner desk using 2 freestanding drawer units and some mdf (painted then topped off with a sheet of shaped toughened glass)

I fitted a length of 2x2 deal to support the corner

- and it copes with the desk-top, the printer, filing trays and other sundry dreck.

I kept the castors on the pedestals and fitted a castor to the corner pillar, so the desk is movable.

I am sitting typing this from one of four 'corner' desks pushed together to make one pod of desks in the centre of the farm office. All of the desks are independently free-standing. Whilst I am not an expert on office furniture, I've yet to see a corner desk that requires fixing to the junction of two walls to make it stable.

Similar to Baldrick, I have two corner desks in my home office. They are in opposite corners of the room but are both free standing from the walls. They are different styles but both were bought as flat packs and are inherently rigid and stable as a result of the right angled design.

It was some time ago but I'm fairly sure I got them from Staples. They seem a bit dearer than Argos but if you have a store reasonably local you can usually see them assembled as shop demonstration units.
