Loki
Hiya I have had a stainless/synthetic 595 in .222 flavour for many years now. Brilliant in my opinion and does whatever I have asked it too (so long as I do my bit) Mine is topped with a 30mm Nikko Sterling 3-9x45? scope which is fit for my purposes. Light weight, 20" barrel (I think) so not cumbersome in use. Good tool for Foxes, Muntjac and Roe in Scotland to ranges that are suited to me and I am comfortable with. mickeylove
I would not swap mine, I paid £400 for the rifle and the 3-12 x 50 meopta on it then another £150 getting it screw cut + T8 and can honestly say that I can count the number of times Ive missed with it on one hand. Better build quality than the later models ive heard.
codling99
sounds like i did the right thing then, putting a s+b 8x56 on it,its allready screw cut so just got to pop me mod on away to go,how often do you clean your barrel?? do you just leave it untill it starts missing before cleaning? ssems to be that left alone they perform more accurately. njc110381
The older Tikka rifles are said to be much better then the newer models. My mate has a pre T3 version and I have a T3, both in the same calibre. I must say his rifle just feels better made than mine. I can't back that up with technical details, but you just know quality when you handle it!
codling99
yeah know what you mean, could have had a browning a bolt brand new for nearly same price as 5 95 second hand, but it felt cheap and nasty to hold,so didnt bother. Bobbo.
Hi Codling, I have the 590 in .22-250, it's excellent, put away a few foxes and roe with it, I woulden't swap it for the world, like the 595 it is of superior build quality to the T3, I was keen on getting a T3 but my mate in the gunshop steered me away from them and advised the 590 or 595. Which model do you have is it one of these in the attachment. Regards Bob.
