polester
I've got a jack pike one and its ok, the lining is just a soft felt like material but if your not careful it's easy to make a hole with the bead and once you've got a hole it's a nightmare to get the gun in with out it snagging. My mates got one two and has ended up cutting the lining out as it was impossible to get the gun to slip in fully. It's a good slip if you have to walk down roads and in public when out shooting as it rolls up good you just need to be a bit careful when putting the gun in. Jurrasicway
If you want to protect your gun do not buy one. Pay a bit more and get something with more padding. But if you want it just to conceal your gun for walking down the street and do not want to carry a bulky slip whilst rough shooting they are excellent. I bought one so that I could walk out of my house, down the lane and into the fields and when I got there would not have to carry a big bulky padded slip with me. If you want it for that it works great and attaches to your belt with a carabina clip that comes with it. Seems sound and fairly well made but only time will tell. I have had mine for about 8 weeks and all is good so far. Hope this helps.
welshwarrior
They are ok just to cover the a gun no protection tho. I bought one to get a gun I bought on a whim not used it since I got the gun home!!!
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Great to use as a quickie slip & easy to carry in the field. Ideal if you walk or ride to your shoot & have to walk around with your slip. Drive to your shoot & leave the slip in the boot ? get a better padded one. bicykillgaz
i've got two napier ones, one rifle which has plenty of room for scope and bi-pob and one shotgun one, i've had mine for about 2-3 years and i've not got any holes or faults with them and they've been through the wash a few times. like everyone has said though they don't offer too much protection for a scope but it'll stop you scratching your guns. i think there a great idea and very practical. my rifle one was £15 and my shot gun one was £13 i think there worth the money
