Paul in North Lincs.
i have noticed that the pigeons near me are activley feeding in heavily wooded areas on beach mast, acorns and other such things - hardly any hitting the fields in any sort of numbers - roll on a cold spell - bring on the frost, snow - and weeks of it!!!!! MerseaDavid
He wont get a harvest out of this crop until late July early august next year. And pigeons wont start to show any interest in that field until the seed is at it's milky stage and when/if the crops gets blown down laid. John_R
In a similar position here (winter barley), there was very little flying overhead. I did see a few rabbits out during the day though, and the signs are there of rabbit damage to the edges of the emerging crop.
