Dunkield
Have you tried approaching Golf courses? they are normally only too glad to get rid of wabbits (if they have them of course) This will almost certainly mean lamping as those golfing sorts are out there as soon as it is light, until it gets dark - good luck! bobt
do you shoot on a golf course and if so what do you use (shotgun or rimfire...) I use anything to hand, be it shotgun, rimfire or 7mm08, depends what I am after. even used the air rifle at times.

Dunkield
Flash, Always do the personal visit, they can only say no, they can't ignore you. I lost the oppertunity to get onto the most rabbit infested land I know because I phoned and didn't go round in person. Dress smart casual (sounds like a party invite :( ) what I mean is don't bother with a shirt and tie, but definitly don't go cammo'd up.
