ROB REYNOLDS UK
no im not on about your arms on your own body im on about you rotory arms ,i had and still have some that are about 4ft6" they work but not as good as my new ones there neally 7ft and boy do they pull the pigeon in far better by far and look the part i must say, on a good windy day them dead pigeon come alive lifting with the wind and diving down again , pulls them in 100% better i dont think i will ever use the small ones again ,mind you saying that i could make my rotory in to a 4 pigeon one the price of my new arms were £15 only and worth every penny ,,this man andy who makes and sells them rotory magnets full time will make you some if you ask him nicely he does all the game fairs as well he sells rotorys for £55 with a new batt ,money well spent i say andy on 07973400852
lurcherboy
Is he the man in Lincolnshire that used to advertise in the Countrymans weekly? I have had some of his earlier ones. One was a two arm and the other a four arm, Welding like sparrow poop, but worked as good as the one I have now from UK s/w/house. Only difference is his weighed a good 2 keys, and UK s/w/house one doesn't. LB
Cranfield
I borrowed a set of the longer 6-7ft arms to try on my Pinewood Advantage ( not made by the bloke mentioned, or by Pinewood). They didn't seem to pull the birds any better than the standard lengths, but they did react so violently when the wind got up, that I had to take them off. I wasn't impressed and decided I didn't need to invest in them (just something else to carry). But, we all know that what doesn't work one day , may work the next etc., etc.,
Highlander
Hmmmm luck of the draw I guess. Can't see the length of your arms (or anything else for that matter as pigeons ain't like the girls) would make any difference. As Cranfield says what'll work one day probably won't the next. A tip (perhaps) I've noticed that if you use a magnet one day and try to repeat the performance the next on the same area the birds are 'magnet shy'. Granted they might be decoy shy if they've been shot in the same area twice but they definitely remember that magnet! Also on high crops and even cut rape the long arms on my magnets (and they're not 7') hit the crop and look bad unless I raise the magnet above said crop and then it looks like a machine
