Technology Forum??

Hi,

I know this is primarily a shooting\hunting forum but as there seem to be quite a lot of technology related questions from members i'd like to suggest a Technology forum as a place for all the computer, tv, camera, ipod etc questions if it would make sense rather than them all heading for off topic.

Apologies to the admin and mods if this has been covered before, if not possible let it receive <CTRL> + <A> then <SHIFT> + <DEL>

Jon.

I have had a bottle of Rioja and that still doesnt make sense.

* If you are trying to get some more gullable PW folk to re-start their PCs that isnt funny.

* If you are trying to get across a valid point try typing in English

Whilst I like the idea of adding useful forums to PW to aid its members we must remember that it is first and foremost a site about shooting pigeon. A 'technology' section would be rather out of place amongst the remaining forums.

With technology the way it is i.e. forever changing, it is perhaps better to direct members to a forum that is better suited to answer the relevant questions and thus be more helpful.

Are you sure it's only a bottle

<CTRL> + <A> means press and hold the ctrl key and then a, this selects all

<SHIFT> + <DEL> means press and hold the shift key and then del which permanently deletes the content or file ;)

Yes, now you have edited your original post it might make sense to some geeks.

You are on your own on here chap - as many members struggle to even type. I suggest that your energies are wasted and you should know when to give up  :( ;)

No problem here ;)

Just thought as there are a few techies on here we could try to help the other guys out. I'm new to shooting this year and have lot's to learn and have gained lot's of very useful info from the site but can't really help on most shooting related questions.

It was a suggestion so that members didn't have to get into uber geekville sites, that at time are confusing etc.

Feel free to bin the thread.

Cheers,

Jon.

Speaking as an old **** I understood the post which I expect is the point.

there is a use for a tech section for those daft questions that

just don't google successfully and that might otherwise disappear

into the depths of off topic ( btw ctrl+alt+del doesn't reboot your computer

in the newer versions of windows it just pops up task manager) ;)

Hi Jon. I once proposed it thinking it is a good idea. I thought it reasonable to have a pc section instead of using the Off Topic one all ther time. I find these compeutah things a struggle at times and felt happier asking all my mates on here rather than a geek forum where I would be ridiculed by Marvel Comic readers. I forgot about it as my pc has had a trouble free spell with me quitting Bearshare and certain other Gentlemans' bawdy strumpet websites.
