rich1880
Hi All I'm new to the site but have been referring to it quite a bit when purchasing my guns. I have a quick question which may sound daft but I will ask it anyway. I am fortunaye that many friends are farmers and I have permission on 3 farms. A friend is about to apply for is FAC however a landowner has told him that he is only allowed to grant permission to one person with an FAC and if he grants it to my friend then the other person will loose his license? Suppose my question is could this be correct, and is there a limit to the number of people allowed to have an FAC on one piece of land. Billy.
No, he can give permission to more than one person. However it doesn't look good if there's a whole load of people on the land, but two wouldn't be a problem, especially on a farm.

Billy.
i have heard of FEO's limiting the amount of people with FACs on one piece of land before. I can imagine this being true if it's a tiny patch of land, but not on a farm (i'm guessing it's 500 acres+) However I have known to be wrong

rich1880
I believe there are 2 other on the land which is around 200 Acre. The farm I shoot is around 500 Acre and there are 4 of us, however I stick to an area and the farmer knows that.

Cranfield
Perhaps the Farmer is using that as an excuse to say "No".
Billy.
Perhaps the Farmer is using that as an excuse to say "No". Agreed. Some farmers are strict and only allow a certain number of people on their land. It could be for safety purposes or just that they firmly believe that they have everything sorted with those who have already got permission to shoot their land. monkeyboots
i know of farmers my way that the psni have told to sign no more permission letters as they have signed to many 1 farmer was told he had over the last few years signed 15 permission forms
albob
i know of farmers my way that the psni have told to sign no more permission letters as they have signed to many 1 farmer was told he had over the last few years signed 15 permission forms the other reason for signing that many can be,shooters who come a couple of times and are not seen again and as farmers want pests controled, they will not ring to ask if they are bothering and try other shooters who may shoot more often and reduce the pests. just a possibilty. al
Highlander
Personally I wouldn't want to be shooting rifles, rimfire or centre fire, over land where others could also be doing the same thing. Reasons; safety, stuff going wrong, **** left about etc etc. Might consider it if I knew others and we worked out a system but otherwise I'd rather pass on the permission.
