markm
A friend picks up on a very large north east shoot and got me thinking - Yesterday - he picked up on a 870 bird day for 8 guns. Today - After 2 drives (1/2 way through the day from 2 drives out of 4) - 900 birds for 10 guns. They wanted 1200 by the end of the day. Mine is 150 birds which was paid for. Bleeh
Biggest I've beated on was about 800 - ish, but that was on a shoot that does normaly 200 days, but it was the Land owners day, and they had reached the 200 mark by the second drive, so the landlord said '****** it, let's see what we can get!'. It was a hell of a day, with a very good group of guns. Other than that, 200-ish pigeons, 300 rooks (from a trap ), 40 rabbits over a days ferreting with guns, and 32 long-netting. And a bunch of rats (60 or so) smoking.
