Guest rimotu66
Just wondering if anyone else has had a problem with Eley cartridges ? Ive got 12g 30gr 6's High Flyers that dont eject fully. This has made me miss loads of birds at the weekend so am getting frustrated ,, thought it was my gun but one of the guys on the shoot had a look at the empty cart and said it is not shrinking back ? Anyone?
Robbly
Think i'd try an different cartridge first, I've not come across a healthy ejector that hasn't got the strength to pop a shell out.

Guest rimotu66
Cheers guys, Ive never come across this before and the 300 Hull carts I had at my lessons ejected ok, its a brand new Bettinsoli so I guess I'll have to buy a new stock of carts as it made my shoot day frustrating when I had a flush coming at me.. Edited November 16, 2009 by rimotu66
KFC
Funny you should mention that, I had a couple of misfeeds while I was Pigeon shooting yesterday. HB Pigeon 32gram fibre. Right on a smashing chance of a one - two of course. I've got some Rio's now, I'll see how they go.
Whitebridges
I think you can get the odd dodgy batch now and again, regardless of maker. I shot probably 50 RC Sipe 32g 6 the other day and three failed. The pin had hit the primers hard but no bang. I've shot loads of these in the past with no problem. Gun was fine with Hull Sterling Game 32g 6's afterwards. Got about 75 Sipes left now consigned to hay-bail practice when nephew back from his studies. kev 1
I did read on here a long time ago of someone having the same problem, and they telephoned or e-mailed the company that made the carts and they replaced his money and gave him 250 more carts for nowt.... I'm sure it was on here... No harm in trying i suppose...

Guest rimotu66
Ive not had a problem with miss-fires but I'm so fed up with firing both barrels and having two new carts in my hand only to find the spent ones only half ejected.. I'll try some RC's which Ive got tomorrow (dont know why I hadnt done this before... Doh!) Whats going on at Eley? There new hollow .22 subs have a mind of there own and and there carts dont seem to work
