gixer1 Posted December 16, 2009 Report Share Posted December 16, 2009 As mentioned already the disco 2's recommended wading depth is 20" (just over half a meter) although they can go deeper for short periods (such as fjording a 20m section) as long as a bow wave is kept going and the vehicle is regularly serviced it should not be a problem. this "short period" would be a depth around the top of the grill (as to not drown the ECU or air filter if the bow wave is kept going) if you are going to be deeper for longer buy a raised air intake and the extended breather pipe kit. (people often forget about the axles, g/box etc) Used to see some real messy 2 month old cars coming back to the dealer as people had bought a "go anywhere landrover"....... they are fantastic if used correctly...i.e.- they are not a jet ski!
