deadeye ive
Just looking at the previous thread where a faulty air bottle exploded and i was wondering ................ An enclosed vehicle ,be it buisness or company has to display a green sticker indicating that pressurised cylinders are in transit BY LAW Does the same law apply to ourselves when we travel to and from the divers shops for refills for example and would your car insurance become null and void should something happen. Any replies welcome Ive
roblade
YES!!! other wise you may find that if you have an accident your insurance will be null and void! (and you know how much they love to find ways to squirm out of paying )for the sake of a couple of quid its well worth piece of mind ROB
lurcherboy
You are not insured to carry compressed gases. I remember a similar thread either here or elsewhere and the driver was involved in accident while carrying charged divers bottles. The insurance company declined to pay out. Before you rush out and tell your broker, I suggest you get a quote anonymosly, and brace yourself. Hope this helps Deadeye. LB
deadeye ive
Is anyone insured ,if so how much?I'm insured social and domestic pleasure , and my shooting is my pleasure. I suppose technically a PCP is a pressurised cylinder (200bar)and we should'nt be travelling around to and from shoots with that in our car .And then theres ,shotgun shells ,ballistic expanding ammo ,gunpowder and primer for homeloads ,,,,,,,,,.I can just imagine an insurance broker s face Oviously 99% of us on this forum are taking a gamble Cheers Ive
Axe
I wonder if the BASC insurance would actually cover this area. One thing is for sure, your right to question it. Regards, Axe.
SNAKEBITE
Any one want to buy a springer?
old rooster
Insurance invalid even if you are only carrying the pcp gun as it is a reservoir of compressed gas. Darn it I'll have to leave my deodorant spray at home as well, no more nipping into the pub after an evening bunny shooting for a swift pint (sorry should have said half because without a doubt one becomes totally unable to drive having drunk a WHOLE pint !) Presents a little bit of a dilema. Where do you stand on live rounds?
