rimfire4969
You could try Nobs they may be able to help with some beating. Good luck
mez75
Ask around at the clay shoots you atten. There's bound to be somebody there that either shoots or beats on a pheasant shoot that can point you in the right direction.

partridge60
www.nobs.org.uk £5 for ordinary members, £10 for shoots www.pubs.myfunforum.org is free. I beat on several shoots where extra beaters have come from the puBS Forum, sometimes 4- 5 of them.
UKPoacher
hi all just got into clay shooting with my dad but would be interested in doing a bit of game beating can any put me in the right direction i live in barnsley south yorkshire thanxs jack Jack, The shoots I know of in the Barnsley area are manned up now. You really have to get in at the beginning of the season. Some of our adult beaters with reliable dogs are finding it hard to get extra beating work at the moment. Also, you'll probably need a reference as many shoots are reluctant to take on youngsters due to problems with unreliability and poaching in the past. There are four shoots in the Dove valley from Hood Green down to Barrow near Worsbrough village, there are two or three in the Wentworth / Chapletown areas, one at High Hoyland / Cawthorne, a couple in Cudworth / Brierley area, so there are plenty to go at. Ask your Dad to ask around and see if he can find someone local to tag along with. You may have to work for free on the first one, and if you do OK they might ask you back.
