Fatcatsplat
Lads and Ladies, You may have seen some piccies of my clumber pup on here before - She's around 6/7 months now and coming on lovely, BUT, if i give her her a stroke, a tickle or any kind of attention, the floodgates open and she pees all over the floor - Any of you learned people got any suggestions what to do here? When i get home from work, i take her straight out into the back garden to say hello (so she can pee) and then she'll get walked within half an hour of me getting in. The family take her out during the day and there is plenty of access to the garden for her to do her business - I think she just gets really excited and we then end up with a soggy floor. Help!!!! Imperfection
Try ignoring her for a few minutes when you come home and dont even make eye contact or speak to her.Sounds like she might have gotten used to getting attention immedietly when you get home and she's used to the fuss. My old dog used to the same so i had to ignore him until he calmed down.

UKPoacher
We had a lot of this with young dogs, female springers usually. Once they started working and became more focused they grew out of it.
