Cosd
Just picked up 18 heads down and 8 heads up Silosock decoys and 2 Hyperflaps which I bought from Wildfowler here on the site. Thanks Wildfowler, items arrived as described I've never used Silosock decoys before, so to those that know; Now that we should use as many decoys as we can on winter rape, should I use the 24 Silosocks and my 12 shells? or would you not mix the two? I have the usual shell decoys but I have made cloth covers for them and they do look good with no shine......
Lez325
I use sillosocks and Hypaflaps- I tend not to mix them with the standard deeks as they look so different on the ground and sillosocks do have the movement factor in the wind - which the plastic type do not Les

motty
I used to have about 6 or 7 different types of pigeon decoys until i sold most of them. They all looked slightly different- some completely different, but i didn't ever notice a problem with decoying pigeons with them. These days though, i only use flocked shells or full bodied, with dead birds when they're shot.
