albob
i got a 12v/17amp battery off the bay for £25 brand new and delivered and i use the pigeon magnet charger for charging and that cost me £14 of the bay and that is including delivery. as for the infra red filter..boy are they expensive, better to look on the bay for pieces of infra red sheets and make your own. al
al4x
buy the proper filter as though expensive you can take it off easily, not used a battery pack with mine as it lives in the 4x4 but I'm guessing you need quite a good one as they do seem to like to use power judging by the heat in the cables
steve_b_wales
Contact alanaecology.com They sell IR material. Normally 8" square for around £25. And it works!
albob
thought i would add, that i used a 7amp battery with dimmer for rabbits and it lasted well on each outing.if your shoot is a large one, then battery will be dictated by this,as you don`t want it running low part way round. al

Loki
Hiya A local theatre lighting supply company is likely to have a large range of IR lens filter sheets pretty cheap by the sq.m. These sheets come in a range of IR options (greater in the IR spectrum etc) as well as being heat resistant. As soon as crinkled, scratched too much, damaged etc just cut another piece to suit.
