VicW
http://www.ancholme-valley-ctc.org.uk/ http://www.pinewoodsg.co.uk/index.html http://www.cockettfarm.com/index.htm http://www.orston.com/ http://www.parklodgeshootingschool.co.uk/index.php There you go Shooter. If you reckon an average of £25/100 birds for non members you won't be far wrong.I've been shooting autos for 25 years and know of no shooting ground that bans autos. You might get the odd snot nosed poser that turns their nose up at them but you ignore them. I shoot quite a bit at Orston,it's an excellent ground. Regards, Vic. Edited January 8, 2010 by VicW
Bloke
Hi, I am a newbie, so not too much experience, I go to Ancholme Valley at Kirton Lindsey, they seem a very friendly bunch, with great Bacon Butties! (and they are open Tomorrow)

Jega
Following the recent closure of Ancholme valley target club me and my lad have been trying out the other clubs local to us in Scunny ,and i've got to say there are some really good clubs in this area .A couple of weeks back we tried Park Lodge over at Goole absolutley superb set up with the very latest in trap technology, last week we tried Melrose a small farm based set up in between Barton on Humber and Barrow O.K. it's not the biggest ground in the world but very friendly and welcoming with both skeet and sporting available. This week we ventured over to Pinewood in Blyton ,again highly impressed with what is a big set up with masses of facilities and really helpful friendly staff .When you read about the distances some people have to travel to a clay ground i reckon we are lucky so and so's in this neck of the woods for clubs on our door steps. Bloke
I've been going to Pinewood at Blyton now since Ancholme Valley shut, and what a great crew! If you are used to formal stiff-necked atmospheres, you may be a bit set back, the atmosphere is much more laid back and relaxed - that is NOT to say on safety, that is taken as carefully as ever. Alan and the crew at Pinewood have made me welcome and they even have a couple of electric buggies for the less mobile of us. At least 7 different set-ups going at any one time, Sporting, Skeet, DTL, 5-stand compac setups over lakes and trees, a few nasty little shots for the more expert among you to play with, etc. I am sure there are more luxurious grounds out there, but as long as you lot don't find out and turn up I can go and spend a chilled day in the country (That is, apart from the artillery-style barrage going on around me !).
