Shotgun action query?

I know nothing of magic powder and metal filings. Depending on the gun and the action, friction surfaces can be tig welded and re-fit, but there are also "other ways" of tightening a gun that some good smiths would cringe at.

All depends on the action type, the degree of loosesness, your budget and the smith.

If you mean loose between the barrells and the action then theres 2 ways ive seen.Proper way is to replace the hinge pins-cheaper way is to turn the barrells upside down and use a lump hammer on the hinge radius on a s/s -ive seen o/u that have recieved similar treatment around the side faces of the block.
