WAB366
Hi, BASC is calling for voluntary restraint in England, does this affect Pigeon Shooting in anyway? Edited January 11, 2010 by WAB366
deny essex
no just the species they mention and is up to the individual and the conditions in their area. Does not affect pigeon shooting even if it is a compulsory ban unless stated. Edited January 11, 2010 by deny essex
JONO
Nope. This is predominantly about ducks, geese and waders (including woodcock). There are other threads about whether we should be shooting pigeons or not in current climate. Jon
shoughton
I'm booked on a driven duck/pheasant shoot this Saturday - been looking forward to my first bash at ducks. Spent a fortune on Heavishot cartridges but may now not get to use them Never mind - there's always next year Steve
rjimmer
I reckon there's a chance that the thaw will delay any ban. If that happens, there has to be another 14 days of freezing at half or more of the relevant weather stations before it triggers again. Jon Off topic, as the thaw is well under way here but there was a woodcock at the back of mine on Saturday night and it's the first I've seen over here but what was special was I live in a town so not used to seeing them this close to houses, hope you's all get back out shooting soon

I joked that I only expected to see ravens living all around her house but that didn't get a single laugh. Steve
