FAC ALTERATION FOR SOUND MOD REMOVEL

Hi

 

If i have a FAC with a sound moderator on a rifle and would like to remove it and shoot the rifle without do I need to inform the firearms department like if i was to add a sound mod on my FAC? Or if the sound mod is on my FAC you can choose to remove it and attach it (shoot with or with out) as you please ? #

It's just a licence to own, doesn't mean you have to use it. I think the official thinking is that silencers "could" make a weapon more dangerous as it's not as obvious to the general public that shooting is going on nearby.

I did it the other day while zeroing just to fully appreciate the work the silencer is doing and was quite amazed.

the question was just a thought and my friend was wondering as well as it is heavy and if dont put many round though, it would not do much harm i think.
