Any info would be helpful. Cheers TH my dad had a titan 3 in 243 and it was a lovely gun really well made, smooth bolt action on it, really accurate gun. he ended up getting rid though as was finding it a bit dear ammo wise so got a 22-250 tikka t3 i think he prefered the titan as a rifle but the 22-250 as a calibre
Beardo
both GaryB and i have them in .223 - great guns, well made and once you find the best ammo for it - very accurate. i have the wooden stocked standard barrel - cloverleaf grouping at 100 yards with factory ammo (samson 55gr hollowpoints). here's an old pic of it (changed the scope to a Swarovski now) made by RWS - i posted a load of info on them a while ago, will try and track down Edited January 20, 2010 by nickbeardo

garyb
Superb rifles these! See... http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...st&p=839898 http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...st&p=872688 A great package, very much so in the same league as the likes of a Tikka T3 - but with a better safety design I used to feed mine on 55grn Norma's before I got into Reloading Any questions... please ask! Dekers
I could be getting mixed up but I seem to recall MrL had one in .243 in stainless. Very accurate and easy to shoot when I tried it! Good balance as well! Nice gun, gets very little mention, not sure why?? Can't remember why he sold it, probably something went wrong!!
macca
Hi, I have the titan 6 in 708. Absolutely brilliant firearm, lightweight and accurate, extremely well built. Can change barrels in 10 minutes, no head space problems, wieghs 7lb 10 oz with a 2-10x50 weaver on top. Titan 3 is excellent as well. TheHunter
Thanks everyone You've sold it as a winner, I pick it up on Sat. The wood stock on nickbeardos looks immac, has it been oiled? The one in the shop is slightly lighter. Thanks TH
Beardo
i've not done anything to mine - it's bog standard, might just be the photograph that makes it looks a little darker
TheHunter
Yay Picked up rifle tonight so I had enough time to clean and oil before the range tomorrow. I have made some rounds Lapua brass, 24gn varget and 58gn sierra HP. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks everyone TH
Mr_Logic
I had a Titan6 in 243, and I regret selling it. It was a very accurate gun. Beware the aluminium receiver - easy to burr screws - I hardly gave it any pressure really but burr it did. However, that aside, it was a very good gun. I wouldn't call it well made - definitely down to a budget! No receiver to speak of due to work done in barrel, and plastic trigger. Too many cut corners for me. I do like Tikka but would level the same criticism at them. Would I buy another? Yep, despite my grumbles it shot straight and it was reliable. TheHunter
Just thought I would send a quick update. Two years on and the rifle is flawless, since new i have had it screw cut and added an Atec end of barrel moderator. Doesn't like really light ammo 35grn but will clover leaf all day on 53grn HP. Nothing has broken and nothing has come lose super little gun. Oh also if you fire it with a muzzle break fitted, it has about the same kick as an air rifle, awsome. Thanks again for the advice TH
garyb
Great news... Is it 223Rem ? Mine also didn't like < 50grn
Beardo
Glad you've enjoyed it, mine still shoots like a dream (55gr hp by choice)
TheHunter
Hi Garyb, Yea it is the 223Rem. Dislikes light ammo and also the ogive on the 35grn vmax wouldn't feed in the mag but IMHO 35 is to light for a 223 anyways.
